It look like you can get the $25 off until the 28th.
I like some of the sneaks, but I already have a lot of like products. I do like the birds, it would be interesting to see how many different kind of birds you can make.
If you have the money and time , go for it. It sounds like you have the perfect weekend for it. This way we can enjoy it thru you 🙃

I had a $50 code that expired yesterday and a regular 5% code that you get with every order. I have missed the $25 one...where did you find it.
DH has confirmed he will be gone ALL WEEKEND and also used the exact phrase "Go for it," though he used an exclamation point.
Off to try to dig up the $25 code...found it. Same code that used to be $50, then didn't work at all for a few hours this morning.

I signed up during the early bird pricing. Altenew is one of my favorite brands and I enjoyed the previous retreat. I thought the Secret Garden retreat was a good value since I'm still using those products.
Did you see the Instagram post where they showed all the products included? I really like the window dies, fireplace dies, and mountain stencil. Can't wait to see what the instructors create for the classes.

I'm sort of still just dipping a toe into Insta, so I haven't. I'll look for that.

Yeah, this one plus Pinkfresh C&C is still shorter than C&CD alone! All 3 could lead to some major burnout.

And I am irked with Altenew again already…this love-hate relationship wears on me.
The full supply list is out and includes their metallic watercolor set. I am about 90% sure this is for spatter and many other things could be substituted, but of course the purpose is not stated.

So, my homework time for this event is evaporating on me. I find myself wondering if I should take the Friday before off. But then I end up feeling really hostile, because I have a 3-day weekend already. I shouldn't need a 4-day one. But since they won't have the videos up right away, it's not like I can watch the classes on Sunday or Monday!

Shakti do you have both Altenew grip mat? Which one would you recommend? I'm thinking about getting one for my stamparatus.

Yes, I do have both. Wherever I ordered the first one from (SB.C, I think) told me they were selling me the Low-Tack, but actually sent the Ultra Sticky. It was surprisingly sticky. I used it a bit, maybe even had a paper tear, and ordered the other one from SSS. The low-tack is what I've been keeping in my Stamparatus. This past weekend it was giving up the grip a bit. I probably just need to wash it under running water like they recommend. I figure I'll use the stickier one with stencils because I can peel it off the card stock rather than vice versa when it's in the Stamparatus.
As it turns out, I currently have TWO low-tack ones because one came in the kit for this event. PM me if you want to talk deal.

So, I completed the homework for the first four classes yesterday and I'm unlikely to have the stamina for five and six live anyway. Had major issues cutting the window frame and shutter dies. Then lost track of the leaves die before I finished all the cutting with it. Found it the very second I'd given up and put the machine away, of course! craftmepink how are you doing preparing for the classes?

I haven't done any prep work Shakti. I think I signed up for too many cardmaking events . But I can't help it, I get FOMO. I just finished the Pinkfresh event yesterday, which was so much fun. And now will work on Crop and Create events. I have a 4 day weekend, so I'm thinking I might do prep work on Friday and do the live event on Saturday. Not sure yet.

I was very pleased and a little surprised to see in the FB group that the recordings will be up the next day. The last retreat, it took them until midweek. This means that since I have a three-day weekend I might actually be able to finish the retreat.
Or I can finish my September half-Sheetload of Cards plus one other half-completed autumn batch project, and start my October SLoC, all three of which are cards I plan to use for the fall exchange.

There was lots of commentary on the fonts, mostly by (or prompted by) the Altenew moderators.
I still very much have a love-hate relationship with Altenew.

So did the event have just those four classes? I’ve never done an Altenew event, but have done their classes at C&CD.
ETA: I should have scrolled before posting. I can see there were six classes.

Shakti oooh I love the window cards! Jennifer McGuire, naturally. Also the wreaths in class 2. I don't generally do gift cards, checks, or cash, and Carissa's two projects were a gift card holder and a cash/check holder, but I realized I do have someone I need to thank and pay for pet sitting very belatedly, so maybe I'll try her mini-slimline cash-stashing card. Therese Calvird has so much theory and information to impart. I watched all or at least most of her class after dinner, but I really don't like either card. I'm just not sure I really want to take the time to make either of them.

Speaking of, anyone who's following the thread but didn't buy this retreat interesting in the sweater-pattern background stencil set or wood stove die set?
They will be released at some point in the future but currently are exclusive to the retreat.
And totally not my jam....
