Fiancé and I are at a resort. The set up is little 4 unit bungalows with lots of walking on winding roads and paths to get to points of interest like the pool etc.
Fewer than one couple in 10? 15? Are holding hands as they walk together. Just walking along like apes with their arms swinging.
It’s a romantic, topical place. Pretty upscale, all inclusive Average age is older. Maybe early 50s. Mid 40s. Could that be why people aren’t touching?
We have only been together 3 years and still don’t live together. So maybe it’s because the new hasn’t worn off that we hold hands more.

DH and I always hold hands. When we walk anywhere, sitting in church, at a restaurant across the table.
We just like the connection.
We have been together 35+ years and will celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary in about two weeks.

No we don't ever ever hold hands, and I can only remember doing it once. When I see couples my age (well, any age really) I am torn between thinking "oh that's cute" and "ugh, that's just ugh". We're probably the most UNromantic couple ever. *I don't really think it's cute. Although a part of me kind of wishes I did.

We hold hands all the time. And he opens are the doors (even car doors) and in a restaurant, he always faces the door. We agreed early on that we would always do this.

We do. All the time...in the car, at home watching TV, walking anywhere. He also opens my door for me and helps me out. I don't need it and it was an adjustment...waiting for him to get my car door or hold a door open for me, but it is nice. He also walks on the side closer to the street when we are on a sidewalk. He is very respectful and affectionate.

My DH is 6’4” and I don’t know if that has anything to do with it, but I find it uncomfortable to hold hands. I will grab his hand as we walk into a restaurant or something like that but it’s really just for minutes at a time. Wr don’t go on long walks holding hands! I also don’t find it comfortable walking side by side with his arm around me. I think I’m too clumsy for that one!

No never and as long as a woman was alone with a man in a place together it was assumed they are married and you don’t need to tell people. We get if mentality. I wanted to hold hands. I think that is so romantic. I love everyone holding hands because I am never going to have that. Ex hubby was a kisser, too. Totally alien to them.

We used to. But I'm in that stage of life where I'm too hot to hold hands.

Very rarely when we’re walking. It’s just not our thing. 🤷♀️
I think a lot of it is that he has huge hands and very long fingers, and I have stubby fingers and it’s just not that comfortable.

not while walking no not unless it's uneven ground and he's helping me keep my balance.

No, we don't hold hands but a lot of the time when we're walking together, I'll have my hand through/on his arm at the elbow. So kind of like linked arms except my arm is not all the way though his, IYKWIM? We find it's the most comfortable way to walk together and keep apace. He's taller and has a longer stride than me, so if we don't do this he's typically about 1 step ahead of me, then I have to take skip steps to catch up, then he walks faster without realizing it because he sees me going faster, and it's an endless cycle unless I remind him to slow down to my pace. (And I'm not a slow walker, just have a shorter stride than him, LOL.)

Not really. He’s a foot taller than me and I tend to walk fast. I will slow down occasionally and wait for him to catch up though, LOL.

Sometimes we do and sometimes not. Sometimes it bothers my shoulder. We have gotten out of the habit a bit. There is an elderly couple that I see walking and they do and I think it’s cute they are 70’s or 80’s.

My boyfriend and I have been together for just over three years. About halfway through out first date he reached across the table and held my hands while we were talking. It made me so happy! We hold hands all the time.
My ex-husband was a hand-holder, as well.

I like holding hands. It's been years since I've had that kind of physical touch. New boo and I walk with my arm through his elbow and I like it.

We’ve been together for 26 years, and if we are together, we are touching each other in some way. Always. In fact, as we are laying in bed right now, he is asleep with his hand on my arm.
DH’s main love language is touch, and it’s a very close secondary one for me, so maybe that’s why.

We just returned from a resort - and we held hands walking to dinner usually.
DH is a hand holder, I could take it or leave it really. But I will if he takes my hand 😊

Sometimes. More commonly, he gives me his arm as we walk because I am known to fall down on completely level ground.

We hold hands all the time. And he opens are the doors (even car doors) and in a restaurant, he always faces the door. We agreed early on that we would always do this. So he can scan for a threat? I typically need to face the door, I'm far more observant than DH. I don't like having my back to the door or to the public.
