Did I miss this month’s thread? USA Amazon First ReadsUK First ReadsCanada First Reads
Australia First Reads
I chose The Maid’s Diary by Loreth Anne White because, on a pea recommendation, I read several other books of hers and really enjoyed them. I thought the storyline was very interesting, but it is told in 5 different points of view and I found that sort of took me out of it sometimes.

I forgot all about this month's First Reads! Thanks for remembering. However... at a quick glance none of them interest me. lol. I'll revisit them later and see if I've changed my mind.

The US link just sends me to Amazon. If I search for first reads, I just get a bunch of books. What am I doing wrong?

I chose Good For You. I'm a fan of the author. I like the quirky-ness of her characters. If you're looking for a quick chick-lit romance. This is a good one. (Except for the noticeable plot error, which was annoying but I still thought it was good fast read).

I got Mothered and I just wanted it to be over! Do you mean it’s too intense? That was my choice too and I’ve not started it yet. Thanks for the link dewryce. The email goes to an address that I always forget to check.

Do you mean it’s too intense? No, the main character had a lot of bad dreams and they just seemed to go on and on. Not one of my favorite books. Let me know what you think of it.

There wasn't any that really stood out to me though. I narrowed it down to three or four books. I was a little intrigued about the maid going missing, discovering her diary, and kind of going backwards to figure out what happened. I've been so slow at reading actual books though. I do better with audio books lately.

You sort of can...they aren't free but if you have the Kindle version you can buy the audiobook for only a couple of dollars...not the full price or a credit. I don't have a Kindle so I didn't know the instructions for that...but if you just look up the book an Amazon or on you Audible account the audiobook should automatically appear at the reduced price. I always buy the audiobook versions

I saw that yesterday when I went poking around! Yea! I have really gotten into Audiobooks in the last year. Makes my day pass so much better. I loved them during harvest when I was trucking grain. I also utilize my fantastic Library audiobook service, but they don't always have what I want at the moment. I learn so many great things here at the Pea's!
