That sounds like eating sadness. Although, I guess if you add enough dairy and deep fry it, it’s probably delicious. But I question how healthy it would be. Cauliflower isn’t the most nutritious vegetable—and then fry it? It’s a shame that it isn’t vegetarian or vegan so that crowd would have an option.
I sound old…
ETA: it’s the cauliflower that I object to, not the lack of meat!

I wonder if this would be better than those horrible chicken sandwiches they serve. No way will I be trying this.

Well that seems like it would taste of sadness for a carnivore, but a good option for those who dont want meat.

I knew it! 😄 They wouldn’t go as far as to make it vegan because that would be super-woke! Idiots.

I won’t try it, I haven’t tasted a really good cauliflower-anything yet. Tried cauliflower rice for awhile, gave it up.
But what is wrong with being inclusive?! If Fox people don’t want to eat it, then don’t order it. Is it that hard?

Wouldn’t matter what they offered. I don’t want my food with a side of hatred. There are plenty of good vegetarian options that would taste better. Fox is just looking for any excuse for outrage.

Right? It’s not like CFA suddenly stopped donating to the anti-LGBTQ causes that Fox loves so much. Who gets offended by a vegetable?

I get where this idea came from. In the vegan world cauliflower is used to make a version of faux chicken wings that are really tasty. I guess Chick-Fil-A decided they'd try to make a sandwich version.
I've never eaten at a Chick-Fil-A and I won't be starting now. I won't support a business like theirs.

As a life long vegetarian I am 100% offended by this. Cauliflower is not a substitute for chicken or beef or any type of meat. It’s a vegetable. A gross one at that in my books. If its a cauliflower sandwich call it just that. Don’t try and make it something it’s not.

He constatntly says he doesn't understand why all these companies are trying to make all this food taste like meat for the vegans and vegetarians. Why not call a plant based item shapped in a patty a spinish patty or a soy patty? Why call it a burger if is not meat?

I do not understand the attraction to Chick-fil-a. They have such a limited menu. Once upon a time you could get carrot salad or cole slaw. Now those are gone.

Personally, I LOVE deep fried cauliflower. Would I like it on a sandwich? I don’t know, but if it makes it to my town I might try it.
I don’t care for their chicken sandwiches, but the nuggets are okay. I don’t buy CFA unless my oldest is in town, and even then I don’t pay for it. She sometimes orders food for her line workers and CFA is almost always their choice. She orders through the app and earns points (with employers permission) and has earned the equivalent of “Hilton Diamond Status” at CFA. She can’t apply the points to catering so the points are hers. Her balance keeps growing because she can’t possibly eat that much CFA. Her potluck contributions until eternity will be nugget platters LOL.

The folks who this might have appealed to (vegans or vegetarians) now won't touch it due to the milk and eggs.

They love real cheese vs vegan cheese too. Everyone is a bit different.

All vegetarians I know eat eggs and drink milk. It is meat they won’t eat. Vegans won’t eat that.

Vegans do not eat anything that deals with animals.
Vegetarians will eat dairy eggs cheese but nothing that actually kills an animal or sea creature
You will run into people who claim to be vegetarian but eat either fish or birds. Neither are vegetarians. If you have to kill a living breathing creature to eat it you are not vegetarian.
/end rant
I am grateful there are options like the boca or impossible burger. They make eating out with my meat eating family members and friends so much easier. But this is just like someone else pointed out: deep fried vegetables.

Trust Chick-Fil-A to ruin a great vegetable.

I had their chicken sandwiches a few times twenty years ago and didn't think they were any good. If they had different politics, I might try this to see if it was any good, but not as it stands.
I was a vegetarian for many years and appreciate that some fast food places are trying -- it can be rough -- but it doesn't sound like they are trying very hard to actually make this vegetarian.

Sandwiches are made out of all kinds of things. So are burgers. I don’t think they’re trying to make it taste like a burger either. Just a sandwich option. I don’t understand people who get weird about vegetarian options for things normally made with meat. Is anyone upset if lasagna is made with mushrooms and not ground beef (or whatever meat is in lasagna)? It’s not hard to understand that some round things that are made to go on buns are made with meat and some are made with black beans.

Nope, still won’t eat at Chick fil A. Right. Even the chicken isn’t good on a good day, not to mention sucky chicken with a side of religion.

I was replying to what scrappinspidey2 said that auliflower is not a substitute for chicken or beef or any type of meat. It’s a vegetable. It just remineded me of my son's rants about trying to make meat products out of other non meat products, but still call them by a meat product name. I don't think people get upset over things like making lasagna with veggies instead of a meat, at least I have never heard anyone complain about that, but its like taking meat and trying to make it taste like a mushroom.
