Being compared to Cruella is never a compliment surely? It certainly is in my world 🤣

Don't confuse the look with her personality. It was a compliment.

Eh. I don't know. Her hair is kind of crazy and unruly, and half one color and half the other. I don't think I would be thrilled to hear that. This is what I thought too, isn’t half her hair white and the other half black and kind of wild looking? I wouldn’t be too excited by that comparison either.

I don't see Cruella hair in your pic. (Your hair is lovely, by the way.) Hers is half white or gray, half black.
As someone said above, I love Bonnie Raitt's flash of white!

That literally made me laugh out loud. I dont think they meant it in a mean way. I think it means they really like how your hair is graying. I'd love to see a pic!

It would depend on the tone. Most likely, the person was complimenting you. If you feel like people are being crappy you can always say "what do you mean by that?" Putting them on the spot will teach them a lesson.

I loved hearing your range of thoughts; thank you! And thank you for the nice compliments as well. I know she wasn’t trying to insult me so it didn’t bother me a bit. It also made me laugh because we actually see each other multiple times a week and she never noticed my Cruella-ness before lol. But we usually see each other at an exercise class where my hair is always pulled back in a ponytail and I look almost entirely gray.

It depends on the person, how well I know them, and how it was said.
I am a firm believer that no one should comment on anyone else's appearance.

They did say that they loved your hair, so I’d take it as a compliment.

I’d ask her how many puppies she has.

Being compared to Cruella is never a compliment surely? Did you see her amazing hair in the last movie with Emma Stone? I totally took photos of it to my hairstylist. 😍 finsup I love your hair!

I would both give and receive that as a compliment. Villain or not, Cruella is a fashion icon 😂
(but I agree one should know their audience before proceeding, not everyone may take it that way)

Apparently women go and have their hair dyed to look like mine, I was told. When I got that comment. It was a compliment.
I was like...really? Yes, I guess having really dark hair with a big gray or white streak at the top is a thing???
But I get those comments from close friends that I know love me. Not random people.
