Next yr will be a big one for me. ugh!! So my daughters have suggested we do a trip. Just us. or if things get too complicated my dh. I love to travel, but I usually travel with my dh and he does all the driving and stuff. So I don't want to drive. I want something totally easy, totally simple. My 1st choice would be for just me and my 2 girls. We are up for anything.
thoughts??! and ideas?

A 7 day tour of any place you want to go to, where everything is arranged for you and no driving involved.

What are your criteria? Within the States vs international? How many days? Warm weather, beaches, museum, history? Where have you been recently?
In the States, I’d say New Orleans, the Outer Banks, Boston, NYC. If you want to venture out of the country, Quebec is close. But my all time favorite city is Paris. No matter how many times I’ve been there, I’ll vote for it again and again.

No matter how many times I’ve been there, I’ll vote for it again and again. Only criteria is quick, easy, simple. No driving from place to place. Easy to get too. I don't think we can all afford Europe. I would love that, but that also doesn't seem easy and simple to me. I want something I won't have to plan, and organize and do lots of stuff for.

Several friends use Tauck Tours and have been very happy with them. There are also tours with National Geographic that are good. Another option is the use a travel agent. A lot of people here are doing all girl or mother/daughter trips to some resorts in Mexico (it's a quick flight for us). If that interests you I can find links to the current favorites.

I would fly to a beach location -- probably somewhere like Florida, Mexico, or the Outer Banks.

Take a cruise! There's something for everyone and the boat takes you everywhere!

Is club med still a thing? I did a vacation a long time ago at a club med on San Salvador island - it was super simple (I wouldn’t do it again, but maybe that’s what you are looking for)

I'm not a big cruiser, but it's fun and relaxing. I just went to a travel expo and there were some great options.

I am heading out for an all girls trip to celebrate my DD 30th the end of March.
We are going to an all inclusive resort in Mexico. Other than driving to the airport to catch our flight everything else will be right there for us......including food & drink!

An Alaska cruise would be my pick for a cruise. The scenery is like nothing else. A city with good public transportation is a good bet.

Globusjournesys.com, Gate1 travel Trafalgar tours and many others. Globus I have used often and they have national and international tours. Tauck Tours have a great reputation but they are quite more expensive.

We are going to an all inclusive resort in Mexico. Other than driving to the airport to catch our flight everything else will be right there for us......including food & drink! name? did you go thru an agency? We are staying at the Occidental at XCaret and my niece made all of the travel arrangements. She booked the resort for us online during their black friday special. Then she coordinated and booked all of our flights. So no not thru a travel agency but she is the next best thing as she is a fashion photographer/editor so has traveled extensively internationally so we trusted her judgement on making all of the arrangements. She had stayed at this resort on two other occasions so was very comfortable recommending it to us. She is joining us on the trip - there will be 8 of us. www.barcelo.com/en-us/occidental-at-xcaret-destination/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=my_business&utm_content=7383Just a tip from niece - she did not recommend booking the flights on a resort package deal. She said you end up with the worst flights with extensive layovers and plane changes as you don't typically get options to choose from. They do this to get the cheapest rates so the package seems to be priced low. So she booked the resort separate from our flights. We wanted the quickest route to our destination so that we didn't have to spend two full days traveling there and back.

Take a cruise! There's something for everyone and the boat takes you everywhere! This is what I was going to say too. Lots of places to choose from, no driving required, everything is included, you can hit a bunch of places and never have to change hotels. Plus it’s usually a pretty good value.

If that’s up your alley, I’d recommend the Hyatt Zilara in Cancun. The spa is awesome and the resort also had the best cabana I ever rented (sort of a two floor cabana where the top had a bed in the sun and the bottom had a bed in the shade…and by bed, I mean actual mattress! Plus butler)

There are a few mystery tours that are run out of Fargo and Fosston. I have done a couple of the Fosston and one from Fargo. The longer trips, you have a destination but the activities are surprises. They are fun from start to finish. Activities and stops the whole trip and lots of little surprises. The weekend ones stay in the Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota area. thepinkbus.net/ Fargo www.girltimegetaways.com/ Fosston

I would say a cruise as well!! I went on my first one last summer.. it was heavenly. Was even on the outskirts of a small hurricane and couldn't even tell and got an extra free day on the ship. I would even skip the excursions if you want simple. I'm dying to go on another one.

We did a girls cruise for my dds 25th right before covid... we had a great time.. super easy for us because we just drive to Galveston...
I know you don't want to make a plan or drive.... but its really not hard... u can call the carnival line to get a planner to set it all up and make ur payments to that person... and then get ur flights n a hotel for the night before... you dont want to fly in the day of the cruise leaving... too risky..

you could come to san francisco, take day trips to the redwoods, to napa wine country, go to golden gate park and wander through museums. I'm not much a beach person myself.

Are you looking to vacation or be a tourist? If I was looking to vacation I would do an all inclusive beach resort somewhere. If I was looking to be a tourist, I’d suggest NYC or Washington DC.

san francisco does not require driving.. bus tours/small group tours available to napa and muir woods, sf has a great public transport system and there is always uber/lift. even easy public transport from airport to downtown on BART.

Since you are already up north--how about a trip aboard the Rocky Mountaineer in Canada? You can leave Vancouver and take a long trip or a shorter trip. I thought it was like a cruise without the water. We rode along, saw the sights, had food, drinks and snacks delivered to us. In the evening, we stopped in a hotel in whatever city we were in.
