Maybe this is the start a new scrapbook page therapy thread... if you have your own page you are stuck on, feel free to add it. I am kind of confuzzled on what to add to this page so it looks finished. I don't usually use this type of paper... Also, this is my 3rd attempt at scrapping this event, and I'm kind of tired of trying to make things work. Apple stencil... too homemade looking. Halloween paper... clashed with everything. apples by BreetheFlea, on Flickr Any ideas?

I think it looks good.
If you want to add something - maybe a tab in the left upper corner, perhaps with a small apple punch/die cut or another heart? and a photo corner/small embellishment on the right photo block corner?

Great photos and I love the apple paper!
I would take the photos off and add a 6.5" x 12" horizontal block of cardstock to the page, then re-adhere the photos on top of that cardstock. This will break up the apple paper a bit and allow the photos to stand out. I would also use a thicker, more dimensional alpha style for the title and add two heart buttons with twine near the title to create a triangle with the three buttons.

I love the apple paper!!
If it was Halloween, maybe add a few Halloween stickers (simple ones, like a bat?)

I love what you have so far! I don't think it needs much at all, maybe add an extra paper layer under the photos in a warmer brown that matches the table. And I do like the idea of adding a little embellishment cluster by the beginning of the title above the photos.
Great job! 😊

This is what I would suggest as well. I was also thinking about adding paper doilies under the photos, like on the corners if that makes sense. Something to break up all the red from the apples.

Love the page as is, breetheflea, but if you want to highlight the cute photos more, can you take the photo block title and journaling off, then slip a piece of vellum behind? Not a whole 12x12 sheet, but maybe a 10x10 so the apple pp shows around the edge?

I would add a strip of paper as a shelf behind the lower half or third of the pictures and the journaling. Another option would be to add a mat behind the pictures and also mat the journaling. I'd also use a bolder title and an embellishment above the title.

I also think it looks pretty good. Love the apple paper. Maybe a chunkier font for the title that slightly overlaps the photos?
I love this idea for a thread.

I like this thread idea too, especially if I can ask for page title help!

I like the ideas of a chunkier font, and adding more paper to break it up.
Other thing you could do if you want to really change it is cut the apple paper so it's a strip, big enough that you can tell it's apples, and add another block of pattern paper.

Love this thread idea!
Another idea is to increase the outside border. That might help the page look more grounded.

I have used this kind of paper and found that a 12 x 12 sheet of vellum over it can make the pictures pop more while still seeing the realistic paper behind it.

Thanks for all the ideas, I am currently deciding what to do. If anyone else has a page that needs help, feel free to use this thread.

I think this is a great thread idea. I’m forever wishing I could get some suggestions like I used to when I’d go to crops. But I’m mostly scrapping alone at home and it what I miss most about scrapbooking in a group setting.

But I’m mostly scrapping alone at home and it what I miss most about scrapbooking in a group setting. you should join the online crops here - they're most weekends and usually there's a daytime midweek also -it's on Google Meets and it's a great way to get that interaction

I have used this kind of paper and found that a 12 x 12 sheet of vellum over it can make the pictures pop more while still seeing the realistic paper behind it. This is almost always my go-to for making photo-realistic papers work for me. Sometimes I will go outside the box and use an 11.5"x11.5" sheet and leave a small border of the photorealistic paper

Today I was trying to figure out how to scrap some photos and got great ideas on where to start. So cool to get that kind of advice on the spot.

Tab in the upper left before the words and a little apple down to the right bottom of the photo. ( if you need an apple pm me I have some in my give away box ) but I also think it’s fine as is.

Good suggestions above. I might have used a Halloween green to mat the background & photos. But I love that color green! I think you did a great job @breetheflea using the apple paper and want to compliment you on having your fun at-home party.

So I thought the Apple paper was matted in that green only to realize it is a cutting mat? I like the green as a large mat background. It breaks up the Apple paper which needs it.
