So very sad hat the last TM in my area is closing. It was a great ride. RIP TM.

I made my last purchase on Saturday. I guess we won't be running into each other in the TM aisles anymore! Maybe we should get together and scrap instead! Do you have a group you scrap with? Mine has moved or gotten into quilting. Do you ever go to Simple Pleasures? I have two scrappy friends and we try to regularly get together and scrap. I do stop in at Simple Pleasures from time to time. In fact, I was on Cathy's design team for about 5 years. Maybe we can do a crop there together? I'll look up the next date and let's see if we can make that happen!

All Colorado and Utah stores are closing. According to the employee, stores that have a 90% profit are the ones staying open. Texas stores seem to have escaped the cut. Their HQ is in Texas with their distribution center being in Dallas, I believe. So...it makes sense since they spend a lot less on distribution there, meaning the profit margins are higher. They aren’t staying open, or at least not all of them. There are two within 10-45 min of me that are closing. Another closed within the last couple of years.

Oh no! I looked and two within an hour of me are closing. Then there will be none near me. What a bummer!

The one I go to is closing too. I am going to make a little roadtrip tomorrow I think, to see if they have anything for my she-shed. I need a couple of pillows and a rug. LOL

scrappinwithoutpeas I went to the one in Rose Hill last weekend. I got a few Thickers (my weakness) and some small canvases for DH (he's been watching Bob Ross and got a small painting kit a few weeks ago). There seemed to be more scrappy stuff than last time I'd stopped in, but nothing I had to have (apart from those 5 Thickers packs I bought).

I stopped by the Denton, TX TM today. They verified that they are staying open. They had a modest variety of things in the craft section, including a couple of different stamp platforms, and I considered buying two or three items, but decided that I probably wouldn’t use them. What was a bit shocking, though, was that the store obviously had less in the way of products overall, throughout the store. The last time I stopped by, it was very full of a variety of things to buy.
