Don, that is a different kind of retreat! I mean in name it is different. So I'd have to wear a t-shirt to your retreat? If I do, you do!

Twice a year, in Feb and in Nov, I go with my friend to a scrapbooking retreat at the beach. It is an hour from my house and held in a hotel. The hotel is on the beach and the scraproom overlooks the beach and boardwalk. At the Nov one they turn on the Christmas lights along the boardwalk. It includes lunch Sat and dinner Fri. Hotel usually provides some kind of breakfast We pay for the extra day and go Thurs noon to Sunday at 3 pm. My friend and I food shop before we go so we never go out to eat but many people check out area restaurants or order in.
In January the past 3 or 4 years I go to a Christian Retreat Center where a group of ladies rent a large space and we scrap from Friday to Monday. The no frills motel rooms are next to the scraproom, and there is a full kitchen. The retreat center provides meals for dinner Fri, Sat and lunch Sat and Sunday. The crop room is great and the location is isolated so very peaceful, except for large groups of teens on church retreats.
In Sept last year another group offered a retreat at another Christian Retreat Center. Rooms and meals were fabulous, but the crop room and tables were so small it was kind of miserable. I would go this year but they changed the weekend so I'm not available. I gave a large deposit before I knew they changed the dates. They may refund me but possibly not.
Then I go to 2 conventions each year, one is now in April and one in July, and we scrapbook the entire time we aren't shopping. So that's a retreat of sorts with lots of shopping thrown in.

artbabe how was your retreat? Mine was fabulous! Was a little worried it might get cancelled as we were hit with a blizzard the day before - 12" of snow and sub zero temps - but luckily enough it cleared off and roads were cleared in time for everyone to make it to the resort! I was able to get my son's wedding album about 3/4 finished - got 24 pages (plus embellished the cover) completed and only have 12 left to do! I want to have it ready to give to them on their 1st anniversary in August. I was fortunate on this retreat as I was recognized by a fellow Pea gotranch so we had a nice introduction to one another! Just made my weekend to finally meet a Pea IRL.
