Hi, recently purchased/received 9 die sets from Ali Express seller: Arricraft Pendants Beads Wholesale Dropshipping Store.
8 die sets cut out well. The flower stand set had an issue. The awning die (that would be displayed on top the the flower stand)
refused to cut out. I used my metal shim to help apply more pressure to that layered "sandwich". Only the top line of the awning was able to cut out..the remaining 3 sides refused to cut out. I flipped over the die and noticed the 3 questionable cut lines were
shallow or not manufactured deep enough (or tall enough?) to be true metal cut lines. On paper the 3 areas looked more like
scored lines than cut lines. Applied paper shims to those 3 areas but still didn't achieve any cuts. I tried that die 6 times
and the same thing...only one line cut. That awning die is integral & a major component to that flower stand.
I filed a dispute with AE/seller. I included photos and explanations of the defective die. My dispute got rejected. THAT seller
refused to approve the dispute. He/she wanted to offer a store coupon equivalent to the amount I paid for that die set. I refused
the store coupon. Whose to say, once I accept that offer if that store coupon could be truly activated? That seller had insisted at least 4 or 5 times. I kept telling the seller no, I'd like a refund. I told the
seller it's a defective die and I should obtain a full refund. That seller had been digging in his/her heels and refused to approve
a full refund. So today, the seller said he/she will NOT do a full refund, but will offer a partial refund with NO dollar amount listed
in that Message Section. I told that seller again, it's a defective die and I should obtain a full refund..but out of curiosity I
asked what a partial refund would be. Whose to say that seller would really offer a partial refund? No reply so far. Perhaps
it's a ploy to get me to cancel the dispute?
Have you experienced an Ali Express seller who has offered you a store coupon instead of a full refund? And if that happened, did
you accept the store coupon? I don't have a smart phone, so if it's in an APP format, I won't be able to use it anyway. Or have
you ever rec'd a partial refund? And was the $ amount to your satisfaction?
I've read the filed dispute on their site and thought AE's CS should step in..but they haven't. Apparently, that seller wants
to deny me the full refund and AE will support that seller so AE keeps their commission as well.
In the 4 or more years of buying AE products, I haven't filed many disputes. But if there were missing items, or I rec'd
wrong items, or defective products, disputes were filed. I haven't had issues with many sellers. Most have been cooperative
and want to maintain a good seller/buyer relationship. They want a good evaluation & ratings. So, this was somewhat of a shock of stubbornness. I won't be buying from this store in the future.
I've noticed in my recent AE shopping experiences more sellers are not approving disputes even though they were legitimate
ones. A friend said she has stopped buying from AE and so has her friends because of quality issues, but also more seller
issues and having to deal with disputes.
Hope to hear about your experiences in AE partial refunds and/or store coupons. Thanks in advance for your replies.
