Sorry to hear it! Hope you’re feeling better fast. DH took Paxlovid and it seemed to help a lot.

You couldn’t possibly have Covid. My DD says there is no such anymore, it’s gone now it’s just a plain cold you buy books, send them to college and what do you get? A moron.
Hope you feel better soon. I strongly support not having children, get a dog.

That bites the big one. Take extra good care of yourself! Here's hoping for a mild case.

I’m so sorry! DH took Paxlovid when he had Covid in December. His symptoms were like a mild cold, and he recovered quickly. I hope your experience is similar.

FYI Paxlovid tastes horrible Boy, doesn't it. Enough to make you think twice about taking it. Off to read that thread.

I'm sorry!
I had it last May. I thought it was just a cold but after 3 days I went to the doctor and... surprise!
It was pretty awful. Get well soon.

Ugh Jury duty. I haven't had to serve in a long time (knocking wood here now)... but I have had several jury duty notices. Haven't been called in, in at least 25 years or so. You couldn’t possibly have Covid. My DD says there is no such anymore, it’s gone now it’s just a plain cold I do think Covid is going to be the norm, somewhat like the 'plain cold'. I had it in early December. I didn't go to the doctor, as mine stayed pretty mild. I was tired for a while after it though. I know it can be much worse (or much lighter) - but I think it is here to stay. I was responsible and stayed home and away from people while I had it. I feel like that SHOULD be the norm for any illness! I just don't get people that have to be tough and go to work, or worse socialize, when they are sick.

My ribs hurt from coughing, and I guess my fever broke last night. My Tshirt was so wet, you would have thought I was in a wet tshirt contest.

We almost made it 3 years. Dh tested positive this evening and I am starting to have some mild symptoms and will probably br positive by tomorrow evening. Dh's coworker is sick ALL THE TIME and tested Monday night and was negative. She never tested again. Reminder, you cant just test the first day of mild symptoms, you need to test again.

As long as Covid has the potential to cause death or long Covid, we cannot treat it like a cold. As for not understanding why people go to work sick, that is because employers make them feel like they have to and/or they do not have enough PTO. If we had better worker protections as well as universal healthcare, this wouldnt be as big an issue.

As long as Covid has the potential to cause death or long Covid, we cannot treat it like a cold. My meaning wasn't that we treat it like a cold. Probably more like the flu, which can be mild, awful, or deadly. I hope it spurs on more and better treatments for flu and Covid.

It is pretty much treated by most as a cold now. The cases are plentiful Most do not seem to be serious. Now my cousin is currently in the hospital because of pneumonia that developed after he got COVID. So, like the flu, it can be serious for people, but we aren't seeing all the deaths we saw when COVID first came around. People should still take precautions and stay home when they are sick.

You are right. COVID will never go away. I have asthma which puts me at risk and I dread the day that I catch COVID because it will most likely make me very sick. I currently have a virus that the rest of my family had with only a runny nose. I ended up having to go to urgent care and am now on Prednisone. What doesn't effect one group can very well wreck another. People should stay home if they are sick.
