Dude, I GRADUATED HS in 1994. How am I historical??? LMAO. variety.com/shop/american-girl-doll-90s-pizza-hut-1235532732/ALSO I am PRETTY SURE the pizza hut personal pan pizza/reading program was predominatnely a 1980s thing. Maybe I was too old in the 1990s to take part, but I remember going to the PH and redeeming my coupon for my own little pizza!!!!

Welcome to feeling old when you're not.
I remember someone in their late 20’s telling me, when I was 36 that 35 was middle aged. I am 66 now.
Edit: removed exclamation marks, because they annoyed me.

Well, next year you'll be having your 30th high school reunion! Just wait until your 50th is just around the corner! It makes sense to do a 90s themed girl because many of the moms today were young girls and high schoolers then. So I can see them gravitating towards a doll that represents that era. As for the Pizza Hut program, no clue as that wasn't something we had near us at the time.

I was a teacher in the 90s and took my students to Pizza Hut to use their coupons. During our lunch period at school. In my own car! Can you even imagine someone doing that today?! For various reasons.

Pizza Hut coupons were alive and well during the 90's. I gave them out religiously when kids read a certain number of books.

You wait till you see things you have in your own home that you still use and then see them described as vintage.

ALSO I am PRETTY SURE the pizza hut personal pan pizza/reading program was predominatnely a 1980s thing. It started in 1984. It is still ongoing in some form. I think I read about Camp Bookit as a summer type program. My kids had BookIt pizza's in the late 90's into the 2000's - at least to 2003 or so for us, maybe later. That was when Pizza Hut was actually pretty decent pizza and we enjoyed going. But that free personal pan pizza usually cost us a lot. LOL We went as a family, so one or two of the kids got their free pizza while we paid for a couple big pizza's for the rest of us. Our pizza hut would give the kids a big paper star for them to write their name on, then they would hang it from the ceiling on the restaurant. So many stars hanging from that pizza hut ceiling! Pizza Hut pizza is yuck now.

That is so funny. My daughter GOT her two American Girls in the 90s, and still has them.

The thing that made me feel reeeeeeeally old was something that went around a couple of years ago. It said:
"Did you know that 1980 and 2021 are as far apart as 1980 and 1939."
I started high school in 1980, and this one really hurt me! 😆 😫

I was born in 1980. I loooooooooved Pizza Hut Book-It! I was a huge reader as a kid. I would say my biggest memories of going there every Thursday night for breadsticks and pizzas was definitely when I was in 4th and 5th grades so, 1990/1991. If my daughters were of AG age now, I would totally buy them some of the new 90s dolls and accessories! Alas, they are almost 15 & 20 so, no more dolls here. *cries*

What do you mean they forgot about GenX? Is there a GenX doll? yes, her name is Courtney, and she represents 1986. She has a Caboodles accessory kit, which I always thought was more of a 90s thing. www.americangirl.com/collections/courtney

Caboodles was definitely a mid-80’s thing, I remember girls having those when I was in high school 1981-1985. They came in bright colors like the Lisa Frank stuff. I always wanted the pink, purple and teal one.
