What percent of your layouts are you really happy with?
Here is what I mean. Ever since I've started to post my layouts on the sharing thread I think I look at my work differently. I scrap totally for me, of course, but when I look at finished layouts I think- is this share worthy? I made 3 layouts yesterday and two are in my "definitely post" category and one just isn't doing it for me. I'd say 95% of my layouts make me very happy, but that other 5% gnaws at me. Sometimes I can't stand it and I take the layout apart and start over. Sometimes I just resign myself to the fact that it will never be a favorite. But every time I look at it, it bugs me.
How do you feel about your finished work?

I work at it until I love it. I have taken a layout apart 3 times before. Now I don't stick anything down permanently until I am 100% happy with. Sometimes there is one layout, that while it is finished, balanced, etc it is just not 100% me and I am OK with those. The process is why I scrapbook, not the finished product.
But I know my style and that is a huge help as I get inspiration from layouts that are "my style" and I know I will love the finished product.

Great question. If I think about a layout too long, it never turns out like I want it to. Right now I am cruising through my layouts at one per day (for four months). I would say I have about 25% that I love. Before I put them in an album, I will go back and add journaling and sit with my drawers of colored ephemera to add anything they need. If find I can improve them before they go in the album if I walk away from them for a bit.
ETA: If I don't like a layout, I will rework it until I like it. Love is another thing.

Overall I'm happy with my layouts even though they are much simpler and more 'boring' than the majority I see shared here and elsewhere. But they fit my style and my family likes them so...mostly so do I. There are always layouts that just don't feel like they came together and sometimes done needs to be good enough.
I do love SEEING the fancy, super embellished, artsy, mixed media etc... layouts everyone else seems to make but I'm almost never happy with the results when I push myself to attempt those.

I'm happy with 90 - 95% of them. I do it more for the process and the creative side of it, so I work it until it's what I want. Occasionally though, what is in my head, just doesn't get down on the paper in the same way! In fact, I made a page the other day with a beautiful photo from the zoo and used the beautiful papers from 49 & Market, but it just seems like it's not as pretty as I imagined. Oh well. No one else is going to think that, so I call it good and put it in the book! We are our own worst critics!

I have found that the layouts I don’t like usually are because I pushed myself to use paper I don’t like. But generally I like all my layouts, and I don’t re-do any of them. I “love” maybe the top 15% of my layouts. I share most if not all of my layouts here, regardless of my feelings towards them. I only hold back on sharing layouts that are too personal, or some that I made for my nieces and nephews that I don’t want to censor out all the pics lol.

I don't love them all equally, and some are harder to put together than others depending on my mood, the materials I am working with, and what story I want to tell. Often I don't see glaring errors til I see the page on the computer screen after it has been posted--maybe b/c I think of it then as it may be viewed by others?
And I love seeing all the pages posted. Whether they are extra special or everyday routine.

I'm probably happy with 85%, 10% go into the album even though I'm not totally happy with them and 5% get ripped apart and get a redo (after they sit in my unfinished bin for a while.)
I usually am more happy with the layouts I spent a little more time on. I'm never 100% happy with my journaling but I try to get it on every page.

I am happy with all my albums because I add WOW pages. Some of the individual pages could have used a little more something. I get lazy once in a while, but I am not going to change anything. I think it shows the progression of my crafting. I have trouble remembering to journal.

I also sometimes do what 950nancy does and add little bits here and there if I think it needs something else when I go back and do the journaling. I've only ripped apart one 2-page LO that I just couldn't get past and it made me cringe every time I looked at it. The redone LO now falls into the "love it" category! I can't say I love every single page I've ever done - I'm happy with nearly all though and I've enjoyed making them. There is a smaller percentage of the total that I really just love. ETA: great question, artbabe!

I am happy with most (90%) of my layouts, I would say. I will absolutely tear a page apart and redo it if it does not being me joy. I have torn up pages from a decade ago just because I wanted to redo it.
I just do what I want, and sometimes I want to destroy. 😄
But I personally love seeing all types of layouts posted on the sharing thread, no matter how simple or complex. Something on every page can be inspiring, whether it is the paper collection used, a mixed media technique, the color scheme, or a single embellishment. I frequently scroll through the sharing thread here or my Instagram feed looking for ideas. Even if you may not like your page, someone else may find it inspiring. So please, everyone, keep on sharing the pretty things so I have many things to look at! 😁

I would say about 95%.
Not a fan of some of the layouts in my very first scrapbook. I cut photos with decorative scissors(I had a dozen-ish patterns), either around the person in the photo or around the edges of the photo itself.
It's kind of one those "it is what it is" things. I can't fix them and I can't replace the photos.
I look back at my first scrapbook, and think my scrapbook style a improved immensely. Thankfully the improvement happened sooner, rather than later.

Mostly I am happy with my layouts, but they have tended to be super simple lately. I'm thinking I need to try to be a bit more creative, so today I used some spray ink for orange and black splatters on a pumpkin carving layout I will work on tomorrow.

Most of the time I am happy with the layouts that I have posted. Every now and then I’m not happy with a page I’m working on, so I put it aside to look at later with fresh eyes. (And then I forget about it, which is why I have a lot of UFOs!)
A lot of the time I’m not happy with the title. I think to myself that I will change it before I print it.
I was looking for a particular layout on my Flickr account on the weekend, and saw some of my early digital layouts from when I first started digi scrapping in 2018. I am definitely going to make changes to some of those layouts before I print them in a photo book. It’s mainly the shadowing and clusters that I’m not happy with.
ETA: I forgot to mention that I am going to re-do every single layout in my first album, circa 1999. I HATE those layouts, they don’t give me any joy and I would not want anyone to see them.

I am all about getting it done in a pleasing way, using as many supplies as I can and as many photos as needed.
I am generally 80% satisfied with my layouts. I scrap 8.5x11 so there's always a sense it would look better in 12x12. But I cannot switch to a larger size for only that reason. I just don't have room for those albums.
Some layouts I like a lot less than 80% but having it done carries more weight with me. I always think, for example, will dgd enjoy this layout of her in princess dress any more or less if I change it? Highly umlikely.

I'm generally happy with them, but I just cringed yesterday at the first page of my daughter's high school album.
As the album "opener," I think I may re-do it. If it were buried on page 12, I probably wouldn't care!
I also found a photo-less layout in the album that I don't remember making. It has an obvious place to insert the photo, so I need to go searching.

ETA: I forgot to mention that I am going to re-do every single layout in my first album, circa 1999. I HATE those layouts, they don’t give me any joy and I would not want anyone to see them. This is exactly why I redid every single layout I did my first years of scrapping. Some people say, move on it's finished, some say look at your growth, some say because new products keep coming out you will always be unhappy. Here's the reality for me - a layout I am ashamed of, that makes me cringe, that doesn't tell my story and does not reflect me is not worth keeping for any reason. There was so little product out then that anything is better than what I had to work with. I also started scrapping special photos and memories, like my baby's first year. All the fabulous baby stuff that came out helped me redo the layouts easily and in a pleasing way. Lastly, I developed a style that works for me. So redone layouts remain pleasing. Having a baby layout with a piece of pastel cardstock and sticker sneeze with wacky cut photos is no comparison to a thoughtfully laid out page with grounded photos and embellishments.

I think it shows the progression of my crafting. I have trouble remembering to journal. This is also my philosophy. My mom also scraps and we would always say, "not every page can be a 10." My albums are a mix of traditional layouts, both simple and more involved, pocket pages and memorabilia. Overall I am very pleased with the look of my albums. Some of my layouts I don't love--I just made one of those yesterday. It is not a favourite, but does not bother me enough to redo it. And it might grow on me. I would say that I am happy with the individual look of most of my pages, and those that I don't quite love still contribute a supporting role to the album.

I would say I’m:
20% Meh 60% Fine 20% Amazing
I don’t redo pages. I scrapbook/make cards as a creative outlet. The memory keeping is secondary. I actually like looking back at where I started and how my layouts have changed over the years. I like seeing trends that I tried, and what I kept and what I abandoned. I have so many options to scrap that redoing something old feels like wasting the time I have for trying something new.
I also assume when I’m gone, my scrapbooks will eventually be trashed as well. I’m okay with that.

That's a super hard question artbabe. A lot of my sbing has been for other people (gifts) and I'd have to say that I'm happy with maybe 80% of it. Stuff that I do for myself I don't obsess as much about, but am probably pleased with 70% of those pages. If I really don't like something that I've done, I'll try re-working it a time or two but sometimes I like it less the more I work on it. Sometimes we're too hard on ourselves.

I'm happy with the majority of my pages. There may be a few that could have used a bit more something but overall I love my pages & albums. Like don I sometimes forget the journaling but that's ok. I try to at least have a date (even if it's just a year) on the page to give some type of reference. I don't re-do pages either.

I scrapbook for me, and my style isn’t trendy. I rarely show my pages here.
However, I never stick anything down until I am sure that I am happy with it. I look at it, sometimes rearrange it, but once I decide it looks the way I want, then I adhere everything and never look back.
It’s one reason that I’m such a slow scrapper. I don’t rush the process.

Is it weird that I don't really feel any type of way about my finished work? I have made thousands and thousands of layouts since I started scrapping in 2003 so they all just blur together. I love looking through my finished albums, and I love being able to capture our stories forever (especially as now my memory is getting worse from PCOS and/or perimenopause and/or plain ol' old age). Yes, I want my pages to "look nice" (whatever that means) but all the scrap pretties are secondary to the photos and the words. I just plug along and call it done and that's good enough for me.

Due to my perfectionist tendencies, I must be satisfied with each step in the process - & will rework/quit & restart as much as necessary - before proceeding. While it takes a ridiculous amount of time to complete a layout, I'm always content with the end results (& never redo a completed page).

I would say I'm really happy with at least 90% of my layouts. There are a few that I consider to be not online worthy, but I don't typically dislike them, they just didn't quite turn out how I'd hoped/envisioned and once they're in the album they don't bother me. I find the more often I scrap the more I like my pages, and when I'm struggling with a page I now often find that if I turn to my go to embellishments or designs I can salvage it and make it something I really like.
I've remade a handful of pages over the years, sometimes to get rid of choices that now make me cringe (photos cut into wacky shapes), but more often it's to redesign the page so I can create a space for journaling since I put as many photos on a page as possible with little or no details about the people or places.
