I'm looking for something repositional. Not as flimsy as Tombow Removable Adhesive - but not as permanent and unforgiving as ATG Permanent Adhesive. I used to love Creative Memories Tape Runner but all they have now is something that looks just like the Tombow kind.
I spent 5 hours on a mini album yesterday and totally messed it up by accidentally putting ATG on the wrong thing. I haven't scrapbooked in a couple of years and I'm a bit rusty.
So what is your favorite tape runner and is it forgivable if you make a mistake?

Tombow has an “in-between” one — it’s dotted adhesive, so you can reposition or remove something quickly. It’s pink (the regular permanent is blue and the removable/temporary is green I think). I’m really enjoying using that one right now.
Altenew’s is similar to that.

Hi cindytred - glad you're back to scrapbooking. My favorite runner used to be the older Kokuyo one, but it's different now. And I can't find it locally. Then I went with the 3L runners (they also had a repositional) that I used HobbyLobby coupons to purchase but HL no longer carries them and they no longer have coupons. So I still order the 3L online and I love their dotted adhesive runners when I can find them. Hope you find one you like.

Kokuyo. It works well, it’s very comfortable to hold in my hand, I love the clicks sound it makes, I don’t lose it on my desk. I bought a big box of refills and hope I’m set for a nice long while.

I would prefer things stick long term (since I had major issues with the Tombow mono adhesive I loved for years) rather than be repositionable. If you have access to the new CM tape runner, I actually recommend it, just put things things lightly in case you need to reposition until you give everything a final pressure rub when you're done to make sure the adhesive bonds good. I also have an older Cricut spatula and have used that to run in between layers to get them apart (or dental floss works).
The CM tape runner seems like the exact adhesive as Stampin Up's new Stampin' Seal+ which is a great bond. I mostly use the SU Stampin Seal (not + version) but there seem to be a lot of issues with the case and getting the tape messed up, so I just end up using the + version or the CM tape runner for scrapping.
I'd like to check out Kokuyo that Honeypea mentioned, I've heard it recommended before.

I opt for longevity also. My ATG has never let me down. I use a small amount until I'm sure and I give it a retotating motion to release the stick.

My ATG has never let me down. I use a small amount until I'm sure and I give it a rotating motion to release the stick. I do the same. It doesn't work 100% of the time but it works good enough for me.

I mostly use the 3L Scrapbook Adhesives E-Z Runner ( LINK). I prefer the permanent strips refill, but I think they make a repositional refill for it too. I still use my CM tape runner as well sometimes, but the 3L and the CM tape runners are almost identical (except CM is more$$).

3L scrapbook adhesive here also! My favorite. I did get the bigger one with the handle but always go back to my little red one.

Same! It seems to be the only brand that holds up for me in humid Florida.

I've used the original EZ Runner (Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L), usually the (red) permanent strips & (green) repositional dots, for almost two decades! HTH & you find your ideal adhesive.

At the recommendation of the thread, I've been using the 3L/Scrapbook Adhesives EZ Dots Runner. I'm getting really, really tired of buying refills and am sorely tempted to try the big one with the handle.
I know at least one Pea mentioned that they always go back to the little one and abandon the "Grand" version...why?

I swear by my ATG, and find it quite forgiving in repositioning things in most situations, if you are gentle.
But, I will also vouch for koyuko - used and loved, but more expensive.
Recently I got a scrapbook .com koyuko-type adhesive free with an order. The yellow one. It's good, almost as good as koyuko (although I don't have one for side-by-side comparison) and I will keep one on hand for things where the atg is too wide or awkward. Might be a cheaper option!

So, I'm a scrapbooker and cardmaker and use different adhesives for each. For scrapbooking I'm currently using the EZ runner grand by 3L. Like someone else I was buying them at Hobby Lobby with coupon but no coupons anymore and they stopped carrying. I've been buying from Amazon unless I'm at a crop and then will pick up a few from the crop. For cardmaking I'm using Tombow. I've had albums fall apart over the years. At this point I haven't found an adhesive that will stand the test of time. I've tried Creative Memories (old school), tombow runners, adtech tape runners, various styles by 3L. None of them have lasted. My albums are in a heated/cooled house. I don't understand why the pictures fall off of the pages.
For liquid adhesives I've been using Art Glitter Glue and Bearly Art.

I’ve been using Tombow permanent tape runners for years. I like that the glue doesn’t dry instantly so I can reposition things I the next few seconds if necessary. My papers and embellishments have held for years.

It's good, almost as good as koyuko (although I don't have one for side-by-side comparison) and I will keep one on hand for things where the atg is too wide or awkward. Good to know that the SB.C runners are similar to Kokuyo, since they're widely praised but I've never seen them. I think I have/had some of theirs, but maybe never the dotted one. I will look again at what I have and seriously consider this option. For scrapbooking I'm currently using the EZ runner grand by 3L. For cardmaking I'm using Tombow. Why the difference for different applications? I do have the Tombow dotted one and especially if I go to the EZ runner grand for home use, I'll stick with the Tombow for on-the-go crafting. But I only make cards....
