Hello again crafty peas. Just checking you are all here and doing ok after my break of 2 weeks in hospital. I did take some sewing in with me and the Nurses were laughing at the various body parts of two Luna toys all over my bed. Just got some finishing off to do now I`m home. Will catch up with all your makes later. Are you doing better? I am at least glad to hear that while you were there you had the ability to craft a little.

i've been making anthropomorphic taxidermy with feeder mice and the occasional rat. would that be ok to share here, or would that creep people out? they are mice in poses on stripper poles, a rat with a lap blanket reading a book. i'm about to do 2 memorial pieces for kids whose pets died, and they want them to be crocheting a blanket and looking at flowers in a garden. the one girl even made the tiny project she wants her rat to be working on, and it's so cute. ETA would it be possible to put the pics in a spoiler, or is that just for words? they really are quite cute tho. but that's my opinion obviously.

For me, as long as I know I’m going to be seeing them, it wouldn’t bother me. DS1s last girlfriend did taxidermy but I never saw her finished critters. She did art work with skulls too.

I'm currently working on a pillow cover made with the leftover half square triangles from a quilt I made for DS. I still need to put some border strips on it.

My February squares for my 100 granny squares project: And all of them, January and February’s. I’ve done 81 of them Whether they’ll be turned into a blanket or not time will tell. I love all your granny squares! Hope you don't mind, but I sent the photo of all of them to my DD. She is teaching herself to crochet and is practicing making granny squares right now! Nice! I hope she finds them inspiring. I taught my 27YO to crochet over Thanksgiving.

blue tulip please share! I am fascinated by taxidermy! jeremysgirl I LOVE LOVE LOVE my walking foot! It has a 1/4" mark so I just leave it on my machine. I'm a lazy quilter and if the corners aren't perfect, I'm good with it. It's made by hand, there will be imperfections. Reading this thread, I think I will dump the water out of my iron for the next quilt I do. I thought that the steam helped to set the seam? Apparently not. My DH made me a clapper from maple. It's AWESOME! I 3D printed a "vase" rose- the printer just does a continuous line and doesn't stop at layers to move up. It's REALLY cool! So, I'm printing 8 in purple, 8 in white, 8 in silver and 8 black vases. We are going to use them for graduation decorations (june) and then let the kids who graduate each take a rose and give to a family member or someone else who has helped them in their journey. Of course, they can also keep it for themselves if they want.

jeremysgirl Quilting lessons from readersjeremysgirl, I found this article on my Facebook feed. It has some more tips for quilting. I am happy to report that my quilt is coming along great. No further issues and all my points are perfect. I am just delving into flying geese using companion and easy angles. I still need lots of practice but it is coming along. No swear words today!

Thanks for allowing me to share! Content warning, taxidermy ahead. These are 2 of the stripper mice i made. I'm no expert yet so they are a little janky, but no one minds because bad taxidermy is kinda it's own jam, lol. The one mouse has a pink belly because i used pink foam in it, won't do that again. These are all feeder mice bought frozen from pet stores, nothing is killed just to be used for decor. Attachments:

The cowhide one is gorgeous teri. Did you do the tooling on it? blue tulip your critters are cute and amusing. This is the Dorothy bag I made last week. I’m not actually sure what I’m going to do with it as it’s so squishy. I did it because I loved the effect of the stitches and had some yarn waiting to be used.

Could you use it as a crochet bag, or put the wool in it for when you're crocheting?

Good morning! It's Sunday Fun-day! I'm going back to my quilt today. I will see the remaining four squares and then cut the sashing strips. What's on your agenda for today? jennifercw I love the basket with the kitty. It was perfect size for her. blue tulip I have got to admit I was skeptical about seeing the rats. As an animal lover I was unsure if I wanted to see them. But the one with the book was adorable. teri I love the leather jacket purse. I feel like I need that one. gillyp the bag is super cute! Is that the leftover yarn from your bat shawl? Happy crafting today ladies!
