Now I enjoy shows without expectations. I can generally do this, but when something from a book that occurred over and over again is not that way in a movie I have a hard time enjoying it. I love the Harry Potter movies, but his hair really bugged me. It was always described as messy in the books and then the movies have it looking movie perfect for most of the time. It's a me problem, I accept that. ![](http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r481/2peasrefugees/Smilies/grin.jpg.gif)

I've just watched all 8 episodes and LOVE this series. I hope it will have a season 2, but looks like it might be a one and done. What's everyone's thoughts thus far?

I watched episode 6 last night, two more to go. It took me until episode 3 to really get into it. I nearly didn't bother going on with it after the first two episodes, but I'm glad I persevered. Every episode from 3 onwards has kept me hanging for the next one.
I am loving the music. 🎼 I have added the Aurora album and the DJ&T6 soundtrack to my Spotify playlist.

I haven't watched it yet but I loved the book. I listened to it on Audible and I think that made all the difference. Not sure I would have enjoyed it as much if I had read it. I'm looking forward to watching it when I get the chance but disappointed that they didn't include Daisy's drug habits. That was a huge part of the book and the times in those days. I was born in 1961 so this book/show represents my high school days. Love the soundtrack!

I finished watching the latest two episodes today. I'm really enjoying the series and am now hanging out for the last two episodes to drop. disappointed that they didn't include Daisy's drug habits. You see plenty of drug use in the later episodes, including by Daisy.

Because having just watched episodes 5 and 6, I can confirm that her drug use is a big part of the show.

I read several reviews (maybe even here) that mentioned that her drug use was kind of downplayed. Maybe just in the beginning episodes. Glad to know that it's a big part of the show because it certainly is a big part of the book. Thanks!

I haven't read the book, so I can't really give you an informed opinion. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg) I'd be interested to hear your thoughts after you've watched it. Or, maybe I should just go read the book!

My daughter turned us onto this when she was home for spring break and we binge watched it. I really enjoyed it. I haven't read the book, but the actor was obviously too old in any context for the early episodes. We just watched the latest 2 episodes and I really wondered about the toll on the actress. Her grandfather and mother's drug issues really made me wonder how healthy it was for her to depict some of these scenes.

I read the book years ago and liked it and now I live the show. I can’t wait for the next episode. And yes billy is too old and the young camila and the old camila don’t look the same … neither does the old billy . But daisy looks the same throughout. All in all I love Riley keough. She’s great.

I just watched episode 8 last night. Because I didn't start watching it straight away, I didn't realise that they were adding new episodes every week. I thought that whatever was there already was the whole season, and there were only 8 episodes. So when I got to the end of episode 8, I was like "Nooooo, what a stupid ending!" I need to know..... (spoiler) Did she die from a drug overdose? Or did she live? It wasn't until I messaged a friend to ask if she was watching, and I mentioned that I had just finished it. She said "Oh, have they added the last two episodes already?" I did a quick google and discovered there are two more episodes to go! More thoughts on episode 8, in a spoiler: I think they rushed through the character development of Nicky, unless I missed something in the previous episode.
One minute he was so supportive of her, saying he would always be there to protect her, next minute he's encouraging her to take more drugs, next minute he's leaving her to die on the shower floor! It was a bit of a leap of logic IMO.

I've now watched three episodes and think I'm going to quit. I just don't think Riley Keough is right for the part, and there is too little plot. Bummer.

I am enjoying the show, but one thing that puzzles me and maybe I missed the explanation--but Billy was so set against Daisy at the beginning. Then when they decide to add her, they just make the name of the band Daisy Jones and the Six? I think Billy would have had a hard time with her taking the spotlight. In his mind, it was his band.

I was thinking the exact same thing after watching the most recent episode. I wondered whether it was more like "The Six, with Daisy Jones too" or whether the name of the band changed once she joined. It definitely implies she's the main star of the band, like Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs or Eric Burdon and the Animals. In one of the scenes, the crowd are chanting for her, not Billy, so she really is the star of the show. (I guess seeing it is based on Fleetwood Mac, it's similar to the way the Stevie Nicks adorers would call for her at a Fleetwood Mac concert.)

I just finished the last two episodes and loved the series. The actor who played Billy really grew on me through the episodes and although there are still moments when he just feels too old, I think he was still a good choice for the role.
I look forward to hearing what everyone else thinks.

I just don't think Riley Keough is right for the part Oh, really? I adore her in this, I think she's perfect for the role, and have fallen in love with her. I'm interested to know whether you have read the book. The feeling I am getting is that people who have read the book are not as happy with the casting as those who have not read the book.

I did read the book. Do not get me wrong--Riley Keough is an attractive, talented woman--but she just doesn't have the look or vibe I got from the character in the book (and I say that as someone who enjoyed the book, but wouldn't put it on a favorite-books list).

Just watched the last two episodes. In the middle of the 9th, I thought, how in the world will they wrap this up by #10. The 9th one felt a little rushed. They did very good with #10 though. Really enjoyed that one.
I forgot about the twist of who the interviewer was. I also forgot about what happened to Camilla. I think they did a fantastic job on it and I can see why they picked the actors they did after watching all the way through.
Billy's character seemed too old in the beginning, but finished it up well. I must say, I liked the series better than the audio book.

I listened to the audio book and I thought Billy was the only one that seemed out of place but by the time I got past the first few episodes, I can't picture him any other way.

I finished the series last night and loved it! I didn't read the book, and am not sure it would have been for me...this just felt like it was meant to be a series. As many have said, I felt like Billy was too old, but he continued to grow on me. My absolute favorite was Camila, followed by Graham. The Simone storyline felt a little disjointed to the rest of the series to me, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I'm already missing it!
