... were the layouts identical twins? I've scrapped the same photos three times and realized it when I went to put them in my albums. I'm not sure how I ended up with duplicate photos... I don't order double prints. Two of the three times, I've used the same paper. The other time, I used different paper but the title is exactly the same, and I used the same colors. The journaling isn't always a word for word a copy, but pretty close and about the same length. It kind of makes me wonder how creative I really am Also, what is wrong with my organization that I can't remember I've already scrapped a page. What about you?

I have scrapped the same photos twice - but the layouts and supplies were totally different. My issue was lack of organization and a bad memory- I had the photos developed twice and didn't realize I'd already scrapped them.

I have scrapped the same photo twice ---- usually because I really love the photo or the memory attached to the photo. Never used the same papers though!

I mentioned this on another thread, but I did 2 December daily albums for the exact same year. And a lot of the pages are really similar. I’d say you are creative, you just have a consistent style! Lol

If that happened to me, breetheflea,I wouldn't worry about lack of creativity. Rather, I would be impressed with the strength of my convictions! I have re-scrapped the same photo by accident. This last time it was one photo block on a 2 page spread and I was able to replace the older photo with a set of newer ones. Stuck on an extra journaling block over the original and redid the few sentences of journaling.

I am starting to get to that point, forgetting whether I have scrapped a photo or not. I started a layout recently, then realised that I had already scrapped that photo. I was glad I realised before I'd done too much.
I have deliberately re-scrapped photos, and they have been very different. That's why I re-scrapped them, because I didn't like the original page.

I did this for the first time recently. I was surprised that I got the picture printed twice and went through the whole process twice and didn't realize it until I got down to journaling. The design and overall style and feel of the layouts were different.

I work really hard to avoid this by having a "To Be Scrapped" folder on my EHD (and a complementary "To Be Used" folder for my stash) with duplicates of all the photos I want to scrap. Once I make a page, I delete that folder since the original files are still on my EHD in my "Photos" folder. I have scrapped the same generic portrait for different personality-themed pages for both kids over the years but I've only scrapped one particular event twice in the 20 years that I've been scrapping.

I've done it several times. I don't scrap in chronological order so I could have scrapped them 5 years or more apart.
They are always wildly different.

I have done it, accidentally. They were very different.

I have, but it was because I didn't put my stack of layouts away and forgot I had already scrapped it. I will just put in the vacation album and one in my son's album.

I just planned a layout for a crop with a photo I had already scrapped. Cut a title on my silhouette, picked out paper and embellishment--got it all ready to go. Opened up an album from that year and found the photo already done. I'm glad I caught it and am going to have to see if I can get another photo from the same trip to replace it.

I've done it, didn't realize it until I went to put the layout away. They were different sized photos each time, both I used fall themed papers to scrap a grandparents day at school, but they are not identical pages.
I got behind on putting away completed pages, and that's how I scrapped it twice. However, the second time around I was able to include a card from my son's adopted Grandpa for the day (our Pastor came since none of the frandparents could).
I just consider the pages complimentary and they face eachother in the album.

*YES* and *YES*!
A few times - using different supplies, but the DESIGN comes out similarly which tells me how much the photo drives my design process! It always happens with single photo layouts - not multi-photo layouts.
I was so annoyed. But they're all in my albums!

The times I’ve done it, the pages were completely different. But they were done years apart. Like I was finishing up an album, didn’t realize they were already done and figured it out later. Because of the time span I had different supplies, so different papers. Also sometimes a different combo of pictures from the event.

I sometimes use the same photo several times and find myself doing so just to enjoy the process of seeing a different results on my layouts.

I don't recall ever scrapping the same photo twice accidentally. I have done it purposefully so the photo could be used in the main family albums as well as one of my kid's albums.
I do have a running excel spreadsheet with all of my scrapbook worthy events listed by year. I try to audit my albums a couple times per year just to keep everything up to date and see what needs to be done.
