I was so excited to get my CM trimmer and use it! It is an amazing trimmer! Cuts straight every time, etc.
But what I did not know until I got it was that due to the rotary blade and housing, you have to push down every time to engage the blade. Due to joint issues and early onset osteoarthritis, exerting pressure from my hands or elbows is really hard for me. I have a special keyboard for the computer with easy touch keys where there isn't hardly any "give", etc.
So my cuts are straight but they are not going through, as I am not pushing hard enough to cut through the paper-I'm having to make at least 2 passes to make a cut and it is really wearing on my hands and fingers, they start to pain after I make a few cuts. Today I used it for maybe 10 min and I could really feel it in my elbows too.
Like I said, AMAZING product. I just did not know that I would need to push a spring loaded mechanism to cut, as opposed to a Fiskars trimmer where the little orange blade is on a track.
Just an fyi in case anyone has physical challenges and is thinking of getting this. You might want to try one out with a consultant first. I just ordered mine right off their website.
