DD takes Tae Kwon Do and recently broke her first real board. I want to make a display frame that includes the pieces of her board and a few other items from her class (photes etc.) Anyway, does anyone know what adhesive I could use to hold the board to the back of the frame. It would be really great if it was something that she could remove if she wanted to but I realize that that may be asking too much. What do you guys think? TIA!

I'm thinking wood glue would probably be the best, in terms of strength at least. Or you could perhaps fashion a bracket that could hold the board in place, then sit the board inside the bracket.

I think your project sounds really cool. Since you're thinking you'd like it to be removable, my first thought is rubber cement. My second thought, is go to your neighborhood hardware store and ask them. Mine has never steered me wrong.

Thank you for the suggestions. Yes, perhaps a trip to the hardware store is in order. The bracket idea is good but I wouldn't know how to go about doing that. Perhaps they can help.

If you want to be able to remove it, maybe you could use velcro? Just a thought.

I was going to say Velcro... You can get pre-cut circles that are about an inch in diameter and they're really quite strong... A staple would probably be an easy way to attach the Velcro... It would leave small holes in the back of the board, but those would be less noticeable than glue if you ever wanted to take the board out and display it another way... I got the Velcro circles at Home Depot...

Velcro! why didn't I think of that? Great idea to apply it with a stapler too. Thanks so much.

Michael's sells all kinds and sizes of shadow boxes. Ours has an entire side of a row devoted to shadow boxes. Velcro or low temp hot glue would probably work and keep everything together.
