I have been doing some cleaning and organizing of my albums and scrapbook space, and today I decided to tackle the corner where I had stuffed the albums and loose pages about ME. My usual albums are pretty much up to date, chronicling family activities, but my more reflective pages, or pages about adventures I took with friends or on my own are all in that one corner, barely organized at all. I spent some time making sense of the stack today and have the loose pages sorted into the historical &/or chronogical and the more reflective pages. Found one two page LO I had put together for a class but never found a pic of me I thought "worthy" of it.
But the biggest find was a 9x12" Smashbook set up to do a Project 52 in 2012. The first few pages are done. And I have detailed notes for up to Week 39 (so mid October?). What do you think I should do with it? Please do the attached poll and give me any advice you like.
Oh and let me know what UFO's you have in your scrappy closet...

I’m not entirely sure what UFOs I have. I would guess honeymoon (1995?) and baby albums for both kids (turned 18 last month and will be 22 on the 21st of this one).
I very carefully extracted cardmaking materials and tools while leaving the scrapbook-specific stuff alone. Maybe someday I’ll be braver and try to see if anything is salvageable.

If it were me, I would finish the album up to week 39, for starters. Once you've done that, you might be inspired to look for photos and notes to finish the rest of it. But if not, that's okay..... you've got a decent album covering most of the year. I have too many UFOs to mention...... Every single Project Life since 2009 for starters! I also have my 2017 Vietnam album. Oh, and I have never actually completed a years worth of layouts, so I have never printed a photo book of my layouts. If it makes any us feel any better, other crafters have UFOs, it's not just scrapbookers. I wanted to pop in to see my mum's new house on Sunday, but she was running her monthly UFO day at her quilting shop!

I would suggest locating pics for at least thru week 39 and get it to that point. If you then feel motivated to figure out weeks 40-52 - great. If not, it'll be mostly done

As the others have suggested I'd at least complete the part you have photos and notes for. If it were me I'd at least print photos for the remaining weeks, and I'm sure those would spark at least some basic memories that you could journal about. If not I'd just add the who/what/when/where details and some pretty PL cards or embellishments and call it good.

Just realised I didn't even talk about my extensive list of UFOs...
Like Linda, I've got several vacation albums in various stages of completion along with PL from 2010, 2011, 2021, and 2022.

Me:the Abridged version a class circa 2010 —90%finished.
December Daily 2011? —90% finished.
A Year in the Life (photo a day) 2009? 50% finished. It was in blog form but then I tried to make an album. Not sure I’ll ever finish it… it’s a mess. I should have left it as a blog.
Anything I took photos of before I went digital (2004) unfinished.
School albums for 4 kids, various states of chaos. My oldest is graduating hs in June, I’m still on 4th grade… I don’t like making school albums but there are so many papers and artwork and certificates and report cards I don’t want it all in my regular albums— ugh!
You are not alone!

I voted to use the pics you’ve already printed.
My one major ufo is poor Arthur’s mini-album. I think I've only done like 3 pages in it. I have stacks of photos for it printed out. I don’t feel too bad, though, because he’s in a lot of pages of my regular albums.

I’m in agreement, get it to the point you have notes. And don’t worry about finding a “worthy” photo. What does that mean, anyway. YOU are worthy, therefore the photo, while maybe not a favorite for whatever reason, is worthy.
It’d take less time to compile a list I have finished. I’m okay with that.

I wouldn’t even venture to try to list my Unfinished Objects. I’m working on them slowly and surely and adding more to the pile.
