I know many are commenting on the other thread which they prefer and why, but I am curious what the breakdown is here (number wise).
ETA - I didn’t think about I don’t care just pick one… so that can be other as I can’t seem to edit the poll answers

Standard. I prefer sunny early mornings and the sun to set earlier so I can be outside, especially in the brutal hot summers.

I know it's a PITA changing the clocks back and forth, but I look forward to that extra hour of evening daylight in the spring.

Daylight for me - In the winter it makes for such long nights as it's usually dark by 4:30-5:00. I found myself going to bed by 7:30-8 most nights this winter. Going to work in the dark and coming home in the dark makes for a really long winter. When we changed the clocks this round, Sunday night it was still light at 7:30. It was almost 10 before I realized what time it was and needed to get to bed.

I like the springing forward, but I get why others do not. I am an early riser but I don't have to be at work until 9, so I don't mind it being dark in the morning. But again, I get why others don't like it.
I usually don't have difficulty with the time change, but this past fall I sure did. For about 2 weeks, I had the hardest time staying awake much past 6 PM. The only thing I could chalk it up to is that it was the first time ever that I have come home from work with no one here and nothing really to do. No kids here, no husband, no one to cook dinner for, no one to talk to, so once it was dark, it's like my brain wanted me to sit down and rest, and I would struggle to stay awake. It was terrible. I did finally adjust, but I am already dreading that for this fall.

In winter the sun doesn't rise until 9:30 am and it's 10 when it gets over the roofs of the houses. It's dark at 4:30. So would 10:30 and 5:30 be any better?
Im the summer it gets dark from midnight until 3am, so 11pm to 2am wouldn't make a difference.
Right now I'm enjoying the extra evening light, it's almost 8:30 when it gets dark! So much more energy!

I love DST! It's so nice to be light at night time to enjoy a longer day. I'd love to just stay on it forever though. I hate changing.

I definitely care. I need the sun when I can enjoy it and I start the countdown to DST the day we switch back to Standard time in November. I am also way more productive in the evening and we live in an area where we have many outdoor activities that can be enjoyed when we aren't working.

Im happy with the way things are. If we stayed on Daylight time, it would be dark until 9am in winter. If we stayed on Standard time, it would be light at 5am in summer. Neither of those appeals to me. I also like the spring change as a sign that summer is coming

Standard time. I hate waking up in the dark. Plus, your days get longer in the summer no matter what. Even here in Southern California, it's light until 9 PM in the middle of the summer. I know it stays light much later than that in the North. Do you really need daylight after 7:30 or 8 PM?

Daylight.
Because I'm a nightowl and I like it to be lighter later in the evenings. I'm asleep in the mornings so I don't mind if the sun comes up later. Selfish I know, but you asked.

I love daylight savings time and want it all year! But I never knew until 2peas that some don't like it. So I am fine with having both as we each get what we like part of the year.

If I had my way (which would involve some serious tilting of the Earth! ) it would be light from 6am to 9pm every day, all year round. Do you really need daylight after 7:30 or 8 PM? Absolutely! Especially when I used to have to go into the office every day, and I wasn't getting home from work until sometime between 6:30pm and 7:00pm. By the time we'd had dinner and tidied up, it would be at least 7:30pm. In summer / daylight savings time, I'm still able to take the dog for a walk at 8pm in the light. That extra hour during DST is really important to me.

I am an oddball because I am an introverted homebody night owl who prefers standard time. I also suffer from “sun guilt”. 😂When it is daylight outside, and nice weather, which is 90% of the time where I live, I feel like I have to be doing something outside. I feel guilty when I am inside on a nice day spending my time reading, watching tv, doing art, etc. With standard time, after 5PM, I can stay inside the house guilt-free. 😂 When it doesn’t get dark until 8:30 it doesn’t leave me much time to enjoy the night.

I don’t care but they need to implement the vote we had and leave it alone. Pick a lane (or Elaine a family name) and go with it. I like whatever shuts people up. Longer summer great! Night daylight until 8 ok great. Don’t want to change from standard time? That’s cool too. Changing bugs me and it shouldn’t.

I would prefer to stay on standard time. Summer evenings with a nice backyard fire that we can start at 8:30 instead of 9:30 appeals to me.

I chose standard because I'd rather drive to work in the daylight than have light until 9pm but honestly I don't care as long as we can stop switching the damn clocks.
