Hi all, for upcoming Week in the Life documentation I want to make my own dividers with acetate.
I didn't like the ones in the shop this year.
I was thinking it would be cool to have each day a different color but I can't really find any colorful acetate anywhere.
Any suggestions?
I could use stencils and stencil butter and do something to make them a little different but I'm not really feeling that.

You could use alcohol ink to color them.

Could you print a digital paper on acetate?

Could you print a digital paper on acetate? The printable acetate that I have is a bit thin. I like the thicker stuff for dividers. I guess it's not necessary that it's thicker though. I'll try a print. I've only done smaller images before. You could use alcohol ink to color them. I've never tried these before. Do they dry ok? Not tacky?

Now I did mine on small pieces of acetate, maybe 4”x4”, because I was using a hole punch to make my own sequins. As long as you didn’t put it on really heavy I don’t see it being a problem.

My first thought when I saw this thread was coloring the acetate with alcohol markers as well, but I don't know if they would scratch up over time. So if you wanted your divider to be out of the page protector, maybe you can look into color filters for lights or trim down some transparent office supplies. If you go the office supply route, it should be a thicker material meant to be handled daily, so I would think it would hold up well.

I was thinking of office supplies too - there are transparent plastic dividers that would trim easily.

This is great. I think I like this idea because it's the easiest and I'm lazy. I bet I can even find some in good colors if I look around.

I'm not sure this would work, but what about trying rub-ons? There are so many pretty ones available (49 and Market comes to mind).
