I buy the Luxardo cherries to use in my Old Fashioneds. So yummy (but expensive!)

Love Luxardo cherries! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I have also soaked Italian cherries in bourbon for a few months and those are pretty good too!

When I was little I buried maraschino cherries from Dairy Queen in my back yard. Several years later I dug them up, rinsed them off, and they looked the same as when I buried them, so I gave them to my brother who ate them. I don't think either one of us has eaten one since then.

as a student at U of O.. we went on a field trip and saw the cherries growing --were to be made into maraschino cherries.. we also visited a plant/farm that produced peppermint oil..and a hazelnut (filbert) farm.
we also visited old old farmhouses and looked at the plants that still grew by their doors.
