Hearts! I don't need hearts on my camera, sofa, pets, flowers, etc. I don't love EVERYTHING, lol.

Distressing that looks dirty.
Low contrast palettes, especially with lavender. It’s so insipid.
Small embellishments on busy patterns and patterns that overwhelm photos.
Sticker sneeze, tuck and bunch those embellishments!

Of all the items listed here, there’s only one that really, actively turns me off (as in, not only am I not going to buy this kit, but I’m also kind of offended by it):
"Dreamcatchers and everything else fake Native American or used in an insensitive way" (artbabe)
And of course there are plenty of things that don’t grab me, that don’t suit my style or my usual themes, but I’m not irked or offended by them, it’s just that I’m just not going to use them myself:
Elements/motifs: Cactuses, unicorns, mermaids. I don’t mean I’ll never buy a kit with a cactus, a unicorn, or a mermaid, but if the papers and elements go too heavy on that motif, I’m not going to buy it, because I already know I’m not going to use it.
This one may be specific to digital scrapping: Really, really messy stitches. I have tried to use them, and I just can’t make them work. I guess I don’t like the look of something that messy on my page!
Paper: Bright pinks and purples, they just don’t speak to me. Large polka dots. I love small polka dots, but large polka dots I do not like. Other large patterns are also a challenge for me, but not necessarily a deal-breaker if the kit or paper pack also includes some smaller prints.
Family history/genealogy: I do a lot of family history scrapping, and I’m always disappointed by a heritage/genealogy kit with a monochrome sepia/tan/brown colour scheme. In the past, I have purchased a couple of heritage kits with a sepia colour scheme (just because there’s not a whole lot out there specifically geared to genealogy), only to find that I have a really hard working with the papers and elements: the lack of colour just doesn’t inspire me, I find it vaguely dispiriting.
Okay, admittedly this is very fussy indeed, but when it comes to heritage kits, I am fussy about flowers. I don’t demand complete historical accuracy or anything like that! but when a kit is meant to evoke the Victorian or Edwardian period, or just “the olden days” or the days of our grandparents/great-grandparents or whatever, and then its florals and other patterns are just way too contemporary, that’s a hard pass from me. Word art: I don’t use a lot of word art, because I do find the phrases a bit formulaic/cheesy. Again, I’m not offended by them, I’m just not going to use them. My genealogy is mostly Irish, and I’m just not ever going to use “Kiss Me I’m Irish” or “Luck of the Irish,” that just seems a bit too cringe. “A Perfect Day” is another phrase I’m not going to use, I just don’t think that way. Egregious spelling errors (“Hark! the Harold angels sing” instead of “Hark! the herald angels sing”) do make me less inclined to purchase a kit.

All I can think of off the top of my head right now is:
Bo Bunny-esque paper lines. Or heritage-like collections. Glitter paper where the glitter rubs off.
ETA: Sloths...not cute AT ALL.

Not a turn off, exactly, but there are way too many FLOWERS on scrapbook paper! Too many tropical beaches. And mountains.
I am still waiting to finish my life so I can designate one day as the BEST DAY EVER!
I prefer "real" colours, not muddied down ones.
And there are very few large bold patterns I can figure out how to use.

Another scrapper that hates fish bones on papers with cat designs. Feral cats usually don’t hunt fish as they don’t like wading in water. In real life they hunt a lot of mice. Mouse skeleton anyone?
I’m tired of: Pickup trucks with seasonal stuff in the back row houses puns (coffee cup with thanks a latte needs to finally go away) ‘Hello’. I have bout 6 stamp sets with a hello stamp. Never used one of them

My dislikes have pretty much been named but male paper with ties in particular but most male themes are cliché even though I love a good theme. The male papers never reflect my husband and sons.
Gnomes. Sorry I just can't do gnomes.
Teeny tiny stickers meant for journalling type books. They are too small even with my sticker hacks.
Blessed, blessings, Faith, I just can't use it. I used some elements of various religious papers for specific photos but we are mostly agnostic so those have no place in my books.

* Epoxy, tape, and other non-stable adhesives. * Any glitter paper where it sheds/rubs off. * Gendered motifs, because it's always vapidly sterotypical. * Religious or trite pseudo-religious sayings. * "Grandma Couch Print" - big floral/paisley/curlicues. * Dirty/distressed paper.

I came back to this thread after checking PeachyCheap this am. This collection by Fancy Pants has got to be one of the most awful (for me) collections I have seen in a while. Just bllleeechhhhhh. The colors! The florals! The bows! The typewriters, muted colors PLUS bright pinky/purple...ick just ick and so ugly. www.fancypantsdesigns.com/www.peachycheap.com/This is a collection I could never scrapbook with. That said, I am sure someone loves it and I do understand because I am in love with some stuff others dislike I am sure!

However, your first link and Pink Meadows (with the bees), that is nice.

This thread feels so ... negative. It is negative- it is about things we don't like. I love scrapbooking- I adore paper. I'm just not ever going to buy any watermelon paper. I can list 20 different motifs that I love, but watermelon paper is not one of them. Or fish skeletons. Or dreamcatchers. I'll make a sister thread to this one.

I hate how all the Dad lines have neck ties and golf clubs. I will still use them but can never find anything remotely relatable to my husband. In general stuff that is very cliched is not my favorite. I 100% agree with you. My husband-to-be doesn't wear a tie (he is a firefighter), and only golfs if we are at Top Golf. He doesn't fix our cars with wrenches or screwdrivers and he doesn't wear anything plaid. Some of these lines come across as laziness by the designer. Do a bit of research and create lines that are more relatable and less cliche!

I’m tired of the grandma florals and butterflies. Together. On everything. Quit it already. I can’t wait for this trend to die.

I will no longer buy anything epoxy, because it turns yellow. I replaced epoxy products in my scrapbooks because they were yellow. I also threw away a bunch of unused epoxy merchandise because it turned yellow. This

Best day ever.
Will not use that. I doubt I have that many ‘best days ever’
On top of that, why would I want to put out into the universe the energy that I have already completed my ‘best day ever’. I’d like to remain open for the universe to send me so many good days that I simply can not choose a best one. 🤞🏻
I might say something was ‘the best’ but I won’t add ‘ever’ on the end.

‘Hello’. I have bout 6 stamp sets with a hello stamp. Never used one of them I have made so many cards in card classes that say hello and I can never bring myself to send them. In my head it sounds like I’m sending a card to interrupt them 🤣 Hello

In general stuff that is very cliched is not my favorite. Yeah my Dad was blue collar and only wore a tie a handful of times my entire life. He also did not play golf. Closest we would have cone was when we bought a turf tractor from a bankrupt golf course. 🤣

I can't stand ice pops - I think because they are included in every summer collection and it adds to the resentment that I harbor for warm weather collections which are generally summer themed but we vacation to beach and pool resorts in the spring and fall so a lot the word items don't work. (sorry for that long whiny run on sentence ) I have a hard time working with pastels and primary colors. I don't know why Disney collections are generally red, yellow/golden, black and white when the parks are exploding with all the colors. We don't go there anymore so it's pretty much a non-issue for me. Then as mentioned above...bikes, VW vans, watering cans, phrases like Hello, Sparkle, Shine, Best Day Ever,
