We are replacing our carpet and painting some walls. I have a Newfie dog and 2 cats. We want some thick comfortable carpet that our spot bot can clean up if necessary. We also want good quality paint that is washable for the walls where my dog rubs her ears and she strolls by. Any recommendations?
I am also looking to put some sort of synthetic floor in my craft room. But I also do yoga in here so I would appreciate if it wasn’t rock hard. Any recommendations?
Thanks for your help!

For paint, I would think something washable would be best. Something for kitchen or bathroom use. They make matte or flat washable paints for those rooms that would be best, I think.
For your craft room, maybe consider Luxury Vinyl Planking (LVP) or Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT). It is made of a rubbery material and completely waterproof and suitable for the messes that might end up on a craft room floor. I am having it installed in the spare bedroom of my new house that I will be using for my painting and messy craft work. It would have more give to it, but I would think you still need a yoga mat or something to make it tolerable. You will be able to wipe up any spills without issue though.
I can’t help with the carpeting advice because I detest carpeting and just paid a fortune to have the new and beautiful wool Berber carpet pulled from the house I just bought so they could refinish the wood floors. I am extremely allergic to wool and could hardly breathe in here until a few days after the carpet was removed. If there had not been this pretty wood under the carpeting, I would have done LVP throughout the entire house. As I said, I have allergies and I need to be able to completely clean my environment. I also have cats and a dog. I’m fine with the dog because he is a poodle mix and does not shed or give me allergic problems. The cats do, but I have always loved cats and just took medications and sucked it up. Although after these cats pass, I won’t be getting any more.

We have Smart Strand carpet, made from some kind of renewable material that I don't recall, but it cleans very well with just water/steam. It's older, so I'm sure they have something even newer and better out there.
What I definitely recommend is pet padding under the carpet. It has a layer of plastic on top so spills/messes don't penetrate into the pad.

No recommendations on flooring, but for paint, I love Sherwin-Williams. Yes, it’s expensive. In my opinion, you need two coats of paint. Better, right now as I think they have a sale going on!

A sale? I love their paint and have at least 8 to 10 sample containers that I’ve been testing. I will go there tomorrow! I have chosen the colors I want, I just need to finalize which rooms/walls get which color. All ceilings will be white (typical, I know) and one wall in the living room is going to be this rich dark chocolate brown. It picks up the streaks in the wood floors and I tend to use neutral colors with lots of textures. But I’m still undecided on the remaining living room walls. There is a very light chocolate beige from the same color card that is nice, or just go with the white from the ceilings. Picking interior paint is hard!

I looked and SW is having a sale. Here’s the link - www.sherwin-williams.com/en-us/special-offers

I’d consider LVP and do some washable rugs. I have two huskies and two cats. The dogs and all their hair makes carpet a big no.

I would also suggest LVP and washable rugs. I have a few from Ruggable, they wash up great and come in tons of sizes and patterns. Carpets are a constant pain to clean when you have pets, why make more work for yourself when you don’t have to?

We swear by Sherwin Williams. The times we've used other brands, we've been disappointed. Their sales are a great time to buy.

We have the Flor carpet tiles for an area rug in the living room. I love the design we have and they are very easy to keep clean in case of an accident. You just lift the square and wash it with soap and water. Ours looks like the top image at this link. Flor carpet tile

I rented a carpet cleaner in 2015 and it did a great job. Rented it again the next year and something happened that any time our carpet gets cleaned a rust spot appears. We have no idea why but we think it's related to the padding. So we will looking into getting eberything we can out of this new carpet and padding.

So if the pet has accidents on it, does it clean up well? Is it more or less expensive than the average carpet? My husband freaks out if our dog has an accident on our hardwood (just in our small foyer). So is lvp just as bad? I may have to do some research as we have to recarpet our entire house!

LVP is luxury vinyl plank. They are not going to absorb anything like wood or carpet would. Use washable rugs if you want some softness.
I actually have 100 year old hard wood floors and they haven’t been ruined by my dog’s very rare accidents.
