I make a lot of page kits...papers, embellishments, printed photos, sketches or ideas, etc. I'd been storing them in the extra large ziplock bags. It was an ok solution but I had a few issues with the bags. They are too big, my papers would slide around and end up dented. The bags look terrible on my shelf (Kallax), no matter how hard I tried to keep them tidy. After a time, the bags developed this weird almost slimy residue (anyone else notice this?) that made my skin crawl. I've been searching for a cheaper alternative to the cropper hopper paper files. Those are hard to find and expensive. I found these on Amazon, ordered them and LOVE them. Sleeves
Pocket
They are fabulous. Not as as think as a cropper hopper paper files, thicker than a page protector plastic. Fits a good amount of paper, embellishments, etc. I love using lots of patterned paper layers on my layouts and always have a ton of scraps I like to keep together with the rest of the line. These work perfect for that too. Thought I'd share in case someone is looking for affordable paper storage ideas.

The sleeves look great! Thanks for sharing. The 2nd link doesn't seem to be working, it's only opening another 2peas board and I wanna see those pockets!

I keep most of my paper lines in 12.5 x 12.5" plastic bags. I love them. I can keep about 20 papers in each baggie comfortably. I have some lines that have way more than 20 papers and I use these envelopes for storage. I tuck the flap inside the envelope and tuck a 2 x 14" piece of chopping board in each one with the name of the paper line on the edge of the mat. They work great for storage in my Kallaxes. I also have a bunch of these for storing page kits. They are thicker than the baggies and hold enough. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0752YM8QN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I use the HL sleeves and they also sell a one that is more expensive but it’s thicker plastic and about an inch thick. I love using those for bigger collection paper packs.

These are great! Thanks.
Does anyone know of a product like the Hobby Lobby ones that I could get through Michaels, Joann's or Target? I have so far successfully boycotted Hobby Lobby and I would hate to break it. Hobby Lobby & Chic Fil-A are two of my hard boycotts.
Will see if I can get the Amazon products on the Canadian site.

I have a couple of similar expandable holders with the tied closed flap that I definitely didn't buy at HL (also boycott them) but not certain where they came from, but maybe a general crafts or stationery store. Don't know if it will help but the old purple one I have says "GENERATIONS archival museum quality 85590" on it. I have others from my MIL that are document sized so I feel like it's a product you should be able to find through an office supply store. I found some 13x13" ones online at Walmart. Or these? www.scrapbook.com/store/sbc-storage-5287.htmlI also use these sleeves from Totally Tiffany that might be available somewhere in Canada. www.scrapbook.com/store/sr-rf-xl5pk.html They don't have the closure but they are handy for organizing kits or paper collections.

Anyone have thoughts on the ones with the closure flap v the open ones?
I'm picturing myself fighting to keep the flap open as I pull out or insert paper, resulting in frustration and wrinkles. But I like the idea of it being enclosed.
ETA: I keep reading this post as "Paper Organization FUND" and thinking someone is asking for money to help them organize their stash!

I MUCH prefer open to closed - it's easier to pull stuff out, easier to put it back. In fact I cut the flaps off the envelopes I use to store my scraps and I bought open envelopes (box file folders) for my themed files. currently collections are in slider top bags...they work better for me than the closure flaps but the lack of substance to the plastic isn't working as well for storing them. I think I'll be buying more open top pockets/files for them in the future

Oh my gosh, I love these! Does anyone remember the Retrospect paper sleeves? I love them and was so sad when they stopped making them. I've been using open top record album clear sleeves to store my smaller collections, but the plastic is very thin.
Are you using more of the open or close top sleeves?

Too soon for me to tell. The flap closure isn’t super large, I imagine it would be easy enough to tuck inside while working with the contents? Time will tell. I’m happy to start a Go Fund Me for my crafty purchases. 😂

I’ve used more closed sleeves but intended those for my page kits. I wanted them protected, many have small embellishments and photos inside. The open ones will be fantastic for storing my pages in progress and collections with lots of scraps. They are the perfect size, just big enough for a good amount of paper but snug enough that everything stays put, kwim?

One more question, how "stiff" are these? There is a video on the Amazon Caydo page, but I am not sure if the product is the same. It looks like the folders are pretty flexible, like the folders that joblackford linked (they look similar to the Hobby Lobby folders).

I have found that the HL ones are the cheapest. I can get 10 for $8.99. They are more expensive at Amazon and the office supply stores are really expensive.

I have my paper arranged by theme and then each theme has all of the different lines that go with the theme. Then I always have a good amount of random papers that don't have lines and I tuck all of those random papers at the beginning of the theme with a label on it in those HL "cases." It makes finding my paper easier.

Did you find them on Amazon Canada? I too boycott Hobby Lobby. I also don’t care for the huge flap and tie on the hobby lobby version. When I purchased mine there were on sale for 20% off. Hopefully that happens again.

Thanks for sharing this. Good paper storage has always been an unattainable challenge for me, especially when it comes to scraps.
