I just started painting them today. So far, so good.
I'm making orange poppies the main statement flower, but will have a few other colors as well-- purple for sure.
I'm buying and getting most of my Youtube training from Oh You're Lovely if you're interested.
These are flowers hand made from a sort of balsa-type wood. They're very user friendly.
Oh--I'm planning/hoping to use grasses native to Kansas that I have been gathering from our property. It makes my outdoor walks completely different, as I'm now perusing all the stuff growing around the path that the dogs and I take.
Familiar with SOLA flowers? I'd love to hear your experiences.

I used Eco Flower when I got married for both my bouquet and my MoH's. I just found out they're no longer in business, which is sad to see. I definitely noticed that I was nervous I wouldn't get them in time, but it all worked out in the end. I thought I had a picture of just the flowers, but here is one with us, my sister in law, and her husband. Best of luck! I'm sure they will look gorgeous. Orange and purple are always nice together.

I have a couple arrangements with them in it that I got at like Home Goods or AtHome. I had no idea they had a name until a friend asked me to make her some. I declined, as I don't have time to take on another learning project, but I'd love to see yours!

Wow. If she's trying to convince us she wasn't the problem, she's doing a rather poor job of it. "I left with my pet snake and my personal assistant" 🤣🤣🤣

We did sola flower bouquets for dd's wedding. They were beautiful, easy to work with and still look good 4 years later!

Had never heard of Sola Flowers. Just watched the short tutorial on coloring them and now I can't wait to see yours, Sharla! I'd love to know which ones you purchased. Did you get them from her website? And I adore orange and purple!

Did you get them from her website? And I adore orange and purple! I ordered from Oh You’re Lovely. I was poppy heavy in my order. I’ve placed 2 more orders, the last one today. I’ll try to post a photo of the freshly painted poppies I did today.

I’m doing my daughters sola flowers for her wedding, I have 71 days to finish. I’ve completed 7 bridesmaids bouquets, working on the brides bouquet. I have 12 boutiners and 14 corsages to go. I have to say I’m pretty impressed with myself!

I’m hoping orange-red. I have been mixing paint as I go along, and they’re already varying slightly in that orange red range as I go along.
