Yay, anyone else glad to be done with this particular chore. And to think, I used to hate taking the time to go in to the accountant’s office to sign! Even though it doesn’t take that long and is reasonably easy with TurboTax; I miss those days now.

Got mine done yesterday. TurboTax had some kind of "race" timer which told me it took just over two hours.
We ended up with a surprise refund which always makes it more pleasant!

Finished mine last week. Might be by the first time I didn’t finish in April. Getting a very large and very unexpected return, so, I am thrilled-almost cried!

Ours have to be filed at the end of February, so I am always relieved when they are done.
I have to have all the bookwork done and to the accountant mid-December so he can run it up and see where we stand. Do we spend, or are we good on expenses.
That coincides with Christmas, and we generally always have to spend, so the time between Christmas and New Years Eve is spent trying to figure what we need to purchase. So that sucks. We pre-pay all inputs - seed, fuel, chemical and fertilizer before the end of the year - so that can usually bring us up to where we need to be, as far as expenses. I got a really nice new commercial Deere mower a couple years ago, as a last minute purchase! LOL
I paid yardage and for a potload of calves today, so I no longer am worried if I am over the FDIC insured amount in the bank anymore. With banks going under, I was getting a little worried I had too much parked in one institution for a few days.

Yeah, we. haven't gotten ours back yet from the accountant. I know we will owe, but it's just a matter of how much.

We had ours done a couple of weeks ago. Filed electronically. We’ve already had the state refund deposited in our bank account. We also received a federal refund. I can not tell you how rare that is. We always owe the state and usually the feds.

We got ours back from the accountant a couple of weeks ago. We now live far from his office, so we either make a day of it to go up there and drop off our papers and meet with him, or we send him everything electronically. This year we did it electronically because of the uncertain weather we had.

Finished mine yesterday, but it's the first time I've had problems. I've been using Turbotax for 10+ years. I did it about 1-2 weeks ago but yesterday wanted to review it before I electronically sent it in. Everything looked fine, sent it and got " Your transmission didn't go through. Failed validation." What??? Tried a few more times and got the same thing. Then I did the usual--restarted my computer and I got a message that an update was needed for Turbotax. I installed it, crossed my fingers and hit send... Yay it went through and about an hour later got confirmation that it was accepted.
But I had done the updates when I originally completed the return and there was already another one needed within 1-2 weeks.

Ours were done a few weeks ago but we owe A LOT to both Federal and State ($$$$) so we won't be mailing them until April 18.

I prepped the taxes for 4 people in my family, one of whom was quite complicated and now they're w/the accountant and I'm off the hook. I hope!

Sent ours in on March 20 via H&R block software. Received refund in 7 days! I think that was a record for us.

Did ours and got our return/refund in less than a week! I was shocked that it was so fast.

I mailed mine on the 30th. I'm not paying to file electronically so mail is my only option. I'm not expecting my refunds until September like the last few years.

We actually owed Federal for the first time ever. A whole $89. Reviewing past years, the biggest change was in the withholding. Which I know was one of the points of the Trump Tax cut thing, but it still shocked DH, until we figured it out. But we had larger than expected state refund, so we ended up getting what we expected anyway.
We have an uncomplicated return. It's just DH's income, and we don't have enough deductions to make it worthwhile to itemize, so just standard deduction. We use the free file with H&R Block online tax software. It took about 10 minutes, and we had our state refund in a week.

Congrats for getting thm done. Unfortunately mine are still on the to do list! Quoting myself from yesterday to update. You inspired me to just get them done. 👍😆. I completed them just a bit ago and Fed has been accepted, state is still pending. I think this is one of my earliest filing years. It does feel good though!

Just completed ours last week. We have normally gotten returns. Last year we owed, big (to us anyways). I was 1099 and my statements were a lot more than in years past. So this year I went W2. I was shocked when I got my W2 and there weren't any fed taken out!! I didn't start until Mayish on W2 but still. My 1099 was much less so we got a smaller return back. I need to figure out how to get money taken out for fed. My checks are less than $400 per week, so that might be why.
Until last year, we always had someone do them. But the prices just kept going up and up. Last year I decided no more and I did them with Free Tax USA. Same as this year. It's free to file fed and $15 for state.
