I’ve been watching ACOT’s IG posts at Creativation. Looks like Spellbinders is getting into letterpress, shipping this June. I’m very interested in learning more about this! Have you seen anything interesting or fun out of Creativation yet? ETA: Here’s a link to the letterpress video www.instagram.com/reel/CqgCRIagqfl/?igshid=MDJmNzVkMjY=

Scrapbook Cards Today was posting videos too! I loved the one of the Spellbinders BetterPress. Not sure if I "need" it, but I'm excited to see what it does! It looks like the multipurpose platforms we have for the Big Shot and other various die cutting machines, only it's for clear stamps looks like it's for plates of some kind. It looks cool! Ryann , in that video it looks like she's inking a die, not a stamp. Is that correct? Here's a link to the Facebook video - BetterPress by Spellbinders

I love the BetterPress. It seems like a foolproof way to stamp detailed images. If it would work with clear and rubber stamps I'd get it for sure. That would be a great invention - a stamping platform that goes through your die cutting machine so you get a perfect impression every time and don't have to repeatedly stamp and press in just the right spots to get a large detailed stamp to look decent. Okay I'm patenting this idea, don't steal it lol.
Picket Fence's new pouncers can be found on Temu (new to this site, it looks similar to AliExpress) for a buck or so each. I was impressed that the Picket Fence lady said that her pouncers do come from the makeup industry. I'm not too sure if the pouncing method will work well for stencils so I'll wait to hear more about them.

I’m wondering if regular die cutting plates could be used instead. Ink the die, use drafting tape to secure the paper to the die, and run it through the machine with the regular plates. I don’t have time this weekend but I’ll give it a try when I can.

ETA: Here’s a link to the letterpress video www.instagram.com/reel/CqgCRIagqfl/?igshid=MDJmNzVkMjY=How is this different than inking embossing folders? I think embossing folders pushes the design out from the backside of the paper (so the embossed design is pushed up from the card stock), whereas letterpress indents the paper down from the front. Like if you stamped your paper with ink, but the stamp was made out of metal instead of rubber (or photopolymer) and it makes an indent in the paper fibers where the ink would then lay in. Someone else could probably explain it better!

FurryP…do you know what the pouncers are called on TEMU? I tried to search using the name pouncer but nothing came up. I love their site but sometimes searching is difficult.
Thank you
