I’m getting the impression this was a big win for the Democrats and the people of Wisconsin whether they all know it or not. Oh we know it. Wisconsin is considered the most gerrymandered state in the country. So relieved!!

Dan Kelly, her opponent, just gave the most vicious "concession" speech I have ever heard. Disgusted.

I’m getting the impression this was a big win for the Democrats and the people of Wisconsin whether they all know it or not. I’m sure they know it. Massive amounts of money have been spent on this election. Although it’s a non-partisan position, the candidates have been very clear on what they stand for. This is a huge win! I hope voters across the country keep rejecting the rightwing agenda. It’s certainly motivation to keep chipping away and relishing in victory one election at a time.

I hope voters across the country keep rejecting the rightwing agenda. It’s certainly motivation to keep chipping away and relishing in victory one election at a time. Just wanted to echo this. The election set a national record for the most amount of money spent on a judicial election, over $45 million, more than triple the previous amount, with a lot of that money coming from out of state. I imagine residents have been inundated with phone calls, mailers, TV, radio ads etc. Both candidates have been campaigning across the state for more than a year. And national news organizations have been covering the election. I imagine there was tons of press there today. Sorry, but saying whether they know it or not is really presumptuous and condescending towards Wisconsin voters. They know exactly what is at stake. They turned out in record numbers for the primary and again today. The voters know the court will most likely decide on abortion rights, will determine if the extremely gerrymandered Republican drawn districts are legal and could potentially decide the 2024 election. Wisconsin voters know the 2020 election results were challenged multiple times on multiple fronts. As someone who lives in another swing state, voters definitely understand the significance of presidential elections in swing states. I think it's fair to say Wisconsin voters know exactly what is at stake.

Dan Kelly, her opponent, just gave the most vicious "concession" speech I have ever heard. Disgusted. There's a pretty low bar for Republican concession speeches these days. Basically, anyone who admits defeat and doesn't challenge the results meets that bar. His concession speech was probably the least gracious, rudest and most insulting one that I've heard in a while. And the irony of a Republican complaining about the decorum of a Democrat on the day that Trump was indicted for paying hush money to a porn star is unbelievable. Relieved for a lot of reasons that he lost. www.npr.org/2023/04/04/1167815077/wisconsin-supreme-court-election-results-abortion-voting-protasiewicz-kellyIn his concession speech to supporters in Green Lake, Wis., Kelly had sharp words for Protasiewicz, saying she had "demeaned the judiciary" with her campaign.
"I respect the decision that the people of Wisconsin have made," Kelly said. "But I think this does not end well."
www.politico.com/wisconsin-supreme-court-electionKelly acknowledged his loss on Tuesday evening, but savaged the now-justice elect in his concession speech. “I wish in circumstances like this, I would be able to concede to a worthy opponent, but I do not have a worthy opponent,” he said, calling Protasiewicz’ campaign “beneath contempt” that launched “rancid slanders.” He said she would damage the integrity of the court.

Those who did not vote for her may not realize that in the long run having her on the Supreme Court is better for them than the wack-a-doodle they voted for. Same for those who didn’t bother to show up and vote. I mean it’s becoming clearer every day the Republican Party is going off the deep end and their actions are affecting all Americans.

It cannot be explained. They are beyond hope. Our country is nearing disaster very quickly ... Although, Wisconsin sheds some light! Too bad they supported Ron Johnson last year.

Pence Grand Jury update!!! Former Vice President Mike Pence won’t appeal a judge’s ruling compelling him to testify before a federal grand jury investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, The Washington Post reports. The move clears the way for him to testify about former President Donald Trump’s efforts to pressure him. Pence is currently mulling a 2024 presidential bid that would pit him against his former boss who is the target of special counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into Trump’s role in the insurrection. Pence spokesman Devin O’Malley issued a statement confirming Pence’s decision. The statement emphasizes the judge’s ruling that preserves a former vice president’s right not to testify about his as president of the Senate in certifying the election. www.rawstory.com/mike-pence-says-he-wont-appeal-ruling-compelling-his-jan-6-testimony-before-federal-grand-jury/#cxrecs_s

Her visit would inflame tensions with China, it was an expensive photo op (never mind all of their photo ops at the border)? McCarthy's meeting is OK because he's a Republican?

Dominion marches on, FOX not so much!! Delaware Superior Court Judge Eric M. Davis ruled Wednesday that Dominion Voting Systems can force News Corp CEO Rupert Murdoch and his son Lachlan to testify in the trial scheduled this month. The judge ruled that they must appear live and in-person. The other person that can be compelled to testify is Paul Ryan, the former Speaker of the House who joined the Fox Corporation Board of Directors in March 2019.Ryan was among those who took issue with the 2020 election lies and urged the network not to succumb to Donald Trump's conspiracy theories. *** “So, if Dominion wants to bring them in live, they need to do a trial subpoena and I would not quash it. I would compel them to come,” Davis also said. www.rawstory.com/rupert-murdoch-must-testify/There will be others: Carlson Hannity Dobbs ?? Pirro x2

That's what happens when you don't have a platform (no taxes or rules for rich guys and no help or protections for struggling folks isn't a platform--it's repugnant arrogance). All you're left with is objecting to whatever the other side does, even if you have done or will do it.

Conservatives are calling for Rep Comer to step down for the House Oversight committee because of his using illegally gained/stolen emails.. Conservative calls for GOP Oversight chairman to be 'sidelined' after he admits to breaking the lawSky Palma April 05, 2023 House Oversight Committee chairman James Comer (R-KY) has launched investigations targeting Joe Biden and his son Hunter. Now, according to Kurt Bardella writing for the Courier Journal, he is seeking to "weaponize" the committee against Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who just indicted former President Donald Trump. *** Comer’s hysterics have made him a mainstay on the Republican Party’s favorite propaganda outlet Fox News, appearing an absurd 11 times in the span of eight days," writes Bardella, who previously worked as a Republican congressional staffer and as a spokesman for Breitbart News. Bardella accuses Comer of chasing "mainstream media legitimacy" and points to a recent New York Times profile where Comer "bragged about illegally obtaining emails about a political adversary and leaked them to the press to aide his 2015 campaign for Kentucky Governor." www.rawstory.com/conservative-calls-for-gop-oversight-chairman-to-be-sidelined-after-he-admits-to-breaking-the-law/
