Former Gov Scott Walker (R-WI).. Says Gen Z is indoctrinated in HS and college, they know no better. They have to be changed.

The difference is that we teach our kids how to listen to others, to learn from others... To evaluate what they hear and process their own thoughts and ideas. It is called critical thinking needed to succeed in the world.

Former Wisconsin Governor, Scott Walker (R), recently suggested Republicans are losing significant elections because of Generation Z voters and "years of radical indoctrination," Media Matters for America reports.

The Hill reports, "Generation Z voters overwhelmingly align with Democrats on issues like gun control, abortion, climate change, and LGBTQ issues, posing a challenge for the GOP as it looks to appeal to the younger demographic," adding, "Seventy-seven percent of Generation Z voters said they voted for a Democratic candidate for Congress, compared to only 21 percent who said they voted for a Republican, according to a Pew Research study released late last year."

Walker added, "I can't blame a lot on this generation. Because all they've heard are radical ideas and climate change and defunding the police, on abortion, and all these sorts of other issues. And so they have never heard the opposing viewpoint. And so if that's all they hear in college and high school and social media and culture, you can see why they've gone so lock step in that regard. We've got to turn that around."

The former governor's comments backfired significantly on social media.

I really believe that Republicans are all heartless a$$holes. Yeah, food for children is SOCIALISM ya know, but WEEEEE nneeeeedddd more money for our FREE food.

Here's more proof that Republicans do not care about decent education at least through HS. I am not saying college is for everyone, because it is not.
The trades are desperate for quality workers, but they do needa HS education for a good foundation for trade schools, during and/or after HS.

WASHINGTON — Lawmakers in 11 states have either passed or introduced laws to roll back child labor laws — a push that’s come from industry trade organizations and mostly conservative legislators as businesses scramble for low-wage workers.

In the past two years, those states have moved to extend working hours for children, eliminate work permit requirements and lower the age for teens to handle alcohol or work in hazardous industries. At the same time, there has been a 69% increase in children employed illegally by companies since 2018, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.

It is “irresponsible for states to consider loosening child labor protections,” Seema Nanda, the U.S. solicitor of labor, said in a statement to States Newsroom.

“Federal and state entities should be working together to increase accountability and ramp up enforcement — not make it easier to illegally hire children to do what are often dangerous jobs,” she said, adding that the Labor Department will continue to enforce longstanding federal child labor protections.

This year alone, lawmakers in seven states, including Iowa, have introduced or passed bills that would ease child labor laws.


“While we’re finding out that child labor is more pervasive and more dangerous than we thought, (these) states have decided, ‘Oh, now’s a good time to weaken the child labor laws,’” said Reid Maki, the director of child labor issues and coordinator at the Child Labor Coalition. “So that’s appalling. That’s really just mind-boggling.”

An op-ed from the Idaho Statesman's editorial board said it would be nice if "men like Nelsen would demonstrate a bit of humility and decency, and not paint themselves as experts in women’s health care—which they certainly are not.

It would also be nice if they kept their mouths shut a little more, didn’t insult women and saved Idaho from national embarrassment," the op-ed stated.

"I’ve milked a few cows, spent most of my time walking behind lines of cows, so if you want some ideas on repro and the women’s health thing, I have some definite opinions,” Nelsen said.

“The women in my life have taught me strength, resilience, integrity, hard work, joy, and love. I absolutely respect women, and the right to choose their own healthcare,” Nelsen said in a statement. “The way I phrased my statement about women and reproductive rights yesterday completely missed the mark. I’m embarrassed, and I offended others in the process. I am deeply sorry. I recognize the mistake and commit to doing better in the future.”

“I have always operated and will continue to operate under the standard that the government does not belong in the doctor’s office,” he added.

Since the party was built on the ignorant foolishly voting against their own self interest, it seems a fitting way for them to vanish.
