Because Gym's current investigations are going so well? LOL How about we investigate congressmen who are believed to be previously or currently participating in or overlooking child abuse in any form? The line forms to the right....

I’m sure he never thought any of this would happen when he ran for President but he certainly has risen to the occasion.

I hope that Jack Smith is aware of the disgusting breadth of this crap, and is doing what can be done. I am embarrassed for our country.

When I think of trump at the world leaders summits I see the video where he literally pushed his way through other leaders to get in the front and that picture of him sitting with his arms crossed like a petulant child while the leaders tried to talk to him about something.
When you see President Biden at these summits you see pictures like this.
And this..
I’m beginning to think that trump doesn’t like people or to be around people if he can’t get something from them.

I think Hunter Biden is not going too well for them, so they need to go back to ole reliable Hillary. Half of them could look in the mirror and find their next candidate for an investigation.

MTG current beau...Brian Glenn Brian Glenn, the boyfriend of right-wing United States Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia), has come under heavy fire after he labeled Women's National Basketball Association star Brittney Griner a man. ***
But Glenn — the director of programming at the Right Side Broadcasting Network — was incensed that Griner was permitted to play and posted a sexist attack to Twitter on Monday.
"Good Morning to all the men this morning except to #BrittneyGriner (He/Him)," Glenn tweeted. "It shouldn't surprise anyone that a man is now the face of a women's professional basketball league."

His mic stopped working during his announcement he is running for president. Maybe he should take that as a sign not to run.

High Hewlitt a conservative opinion writer for the Washington Post wrote an opinion piece a couple of days. In it he suggested the election was indeed stolen from dumpster don because of the lack of investigation of Hunter Biden’s laptop.
If that’s the case then one could make a strong case the election WAS stolen from Hillary.
As noted in the response to the tweet which brings up a good question. Why wasn’t there an investigation into the leaks from the New York FBI Office to Giuliani? Days before Comey’s letter about nothing 11 days before the election Giuliani was on tv bragging about new information that would be coming out about Hillary.

Gym Jordan's prime 'whistleblower' witness may have openly lied under oath to the House/Congress! Republican witness faces questions over whether he lied under oath to key panel Democrats suggest ex-FBI agent turned purported whistleblower Garret O’Boyle was not fully truthful about legal counsel fundingDavid Smith in Washington @smithinamerica Mon 22 May 2023 08.00 EDT A key Republican witness is facing questions over whether he lied under oath about receiving financial aid from an ally of former US president Donald Trump. Garret O’Boyle, a former FBI field agent turned purported whistleblower, testified last week to a congressional panel investigating what Republicans assert is the “weaponisation” of the federal government against conservatives. At one point, O’Boyle was asked by Democrat Dan Goldman whether Kash Patel, who held multiple roles in the Trump administration, is helping finance O’Boyle’s legal counsel. The witness replied: “Not that I’m aware of.” The answer has raised eyebrows because, during a previous interview with the House of Representatives’ weaponisation subcommittee in February, O’Boyle disclosed that his legal fees are being paid by a nonprofit organisation called Fight With Kash, also known as the Kash Foundation and run by Kash Patel. Furthermore, a Democratic staff report published in March notes that Patel arranged for Jesse Binnall, who served as Trump’s top “election fraud” lawyer in 2020, to serve as counsel for O’Boyle. Binnall sits on the Kash Foundation’s board of directors and has acknowledged working on past lawsuits funded by the foundation. In light of these details, Democrats are concerned that O’Boyle was not fully truthful before the committee chaired by Republican Jim Jordan, a staunch Trump backer. Lying to Congress carries a penalty of up to five years’ imprisonment. Goldman told the Guardian: “Mr O’Boyle’s answers in the subcommittee hearing on Thursday appear to contradict his previous testimony in the transcribed interview with subcommittee staff. In order to ensure witnesses are truthful when they come before the subcommittee, Chairman Jordan must determine whether or not Mr O’Boyle lied under oath on Thursday.” www.theguardian.com/us-news/2023/may/22/house-weaponization-subcommittee-testimony

Back to the right whining about the debt. Now that I’m retired I certainly don’t pay the taxes that I did. But I’m stilling paying taxes and I’m at the point where I have to take money out of my 401(k) every year so it can be taxed. Even though I don’t need it and at some point it will be taxed.
So when I hear the right whine about the debt and say the ONLY way to address it is to cut programs that help people while find new ways the rich & corporations like the ones bolded below not to pay taxes I do get a bit miffed.
From CNBC..
”The current United States tax code allows some of the biggest company names in the country to not pay any federal corporate income tax.
In fact, at least 55 of the largest corporations in America paid no federal corporate income taxes on their 2020 profits, according to the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy. The companies include names like Whirlpool, FedEx, Nike, HP and Salesforce.
If a large, very profitable company isn’t paying the federal income tax, then we have a real fairness problem on our hands,” Matthew Gardner, a senior fellow at the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy (ITEP), told CNBC.
What’s more, it is entirely legal and within the parameters of the tax code that corporations can end up paying no federal corporate income tax, which costs the U.S. government billions of dollars in lost revenue.“

Good question.
“Why Don’t Americans Recognize that Inflation is Down and Incomes Are Up?
“There’s a lot of good economic news out there that the media underreports. The Biden administration and congressional Democrats need to brag more often and louder.”

Apparently it’s not a joke. What the ever loving f*ck? This from the party that calls Democrats "elite" and bitches about the kind of refrigerator Nancy Pelosi has. If MTG has that much extra cash laying around, perhaps she could have used it to feed some hungry children in Georgia instead of buying a used chapstick.

Someone on twitter mentioned they looked up the 1968 Republican Party Platform and noted how WOKE it was. So I got curious. This certainly doesn’t sound like the Republican Party of today. This is just the first part of the platform. They get more specific and you can see signs of what we know as traditional Republican beliefs that are mixed in with the “wokeness”. If interested you can read the entire platform here. link”Republican Party Platform of 1968”August 05, 1968 Preamble, Purposes and Pledges Twice before, our Party gave the people of America leadership at a time of crisis—leadership which won us peace in place of war, unity in place of discord, compassion in place of bitterness. A century ago, Abraham Lincoln gave that leadership. From it came one nation, consecrated to liberty and justice for all. Fifteen years ago, Dwight D. Eisenhower gave that leadership. It brought the end of a war, eight years of peace, enhanced respect in the world, orderly progress at home, and trust of our people in their leaders and in themselves. Today, we are in turmoil. Tens of thousands of young men have died or been wounded in Vietnam. Many young people are losing faith in our society. Our inner cities have become centers of despair. Millions of Americans are caught in the cycle of poverty—poor education, unemployment or serious under-employment, and the inability to afford decent housing. Inflation has eroded confidence in the dollar at home and abroad. It has severely cut into the incomes of all families, the jobless, the farmers, the retired and those living on fixed incomes and pensions. Today's Americans are uncertain about the future, and frustrated about the recent past. America urgently needs new leadership—leadership courageous and understanding—leadership that will recapture control of events, mastering them rather than permitting them to master us, thus restoring our confidence in ourselves and in our future. Our need is new leadership which will develop imaginative new approaches assuring full opportunity to all our citizens—leadership which will face and resolve the basic problems of our country. Our Convention in 1968 can spark a "Republican Resurgence" under men and women willing to face the realities of the world in which we live. We must urgently dedicate our efforts toward restoration of peace both at home and abroad. We must bring about a national commitment to rebuild our urban and rural slum areas. We must enable family farm enterprise to participate fully in the nation's prosperity. We must bring about quality education for all. We must assure every individual an opportunity for satisfying and rewarding employment. We must attack the root causes of poverty and eradicate racism, hatred and violence. We must give all citizens the opportunity to influence and shape the events of our time.We must give increasing attention to the views of the young and recognize their key role in our present as well as the future. We must mobilize the resources, talents and energy of public and private sectors to reach these goals, utilizing the unique strength and initiative of state and local governments. We must re-establish fiscal responsibility and put an end to increases in the cost of living. We must reaffirm our commitment to Lincoln's challenge of one hundred six years ago. To Congress he wrote: "The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty and we must rise with the occasion. As our case is new, so we must think anew and act anew. We must disenthrall ourselves and then we shall save our country ." In this, our stormy present, let us rededicate ourselves to Lincoln's thesis. Let the people know our commitment to provide the dynamic leadership which they rightly expect of this Party—the Party not of empty promises, but of performance—the Party not of wastefulness, but of responsibility—the Party not of war, but the Party whose Administrations have been characterized by peace—the Republican Party. To these ends, we solemnly pledge to every American that we shall think anew and act anew.” He may be right. It was about this time when the Republican Party started to change from the party of 1968 to the train wreck it is today.
