Another assault on a child: She is also a Republican. Do you think this will get any screen time on Fox? You know it would if it were a Democrat.

The police and friends like them young in Oklahoma. A man who used to serve as a police officer in Oklahoma and now works as a civilian employee at the police department has reportedly been arrested on accusations that he engaged in sexually inappropriate communications with a teen girl. Timothy Owen was arrested on Monday at the Edmond Public Safety Center after police completed an investigation into purported inappropriate conduct with a 14-year-old girl, according to NonDoc. The local Sustainable Journalism Foundation-operated outlet further reported that Owen served as an Edmond Police Department officer from 1986 to 2015 and transitioned into an administrative role upon his retirement. The police in Edmond reportedly received a letter a few weeks ago detailing the purported misconduct. The letter included examples of texts from Owen to the girl, such as, "Are you a virgin?" and, "I want to be your first," according to NonDoc. Owen reportedly texted the young girl between 60 and 70 times on some days. After identifying the girl, police were able to conclude that Owen was part of her extended family, according to NonDoc. "According to the probable cause affidavit, the child also spoke about a time Owen wanted her to sneak out of the house so he could pick her up," the publication writes. "She told detectives that during their relationship, Owen told her to delete the text messages between them." www.rawstory.com/oklahoma-cop-arrested/

VP Harris in LA at a march for reproductive rights heathercoxrichardson.substack.com/p/april-16-2023?r=1f0orz&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=email“We are seeing, around the country, in a myriad of ways, those who would dare to attack fundamental rights and, by extension, attack our democracy,” Harris said. “Around our country, supposed so-called extremist leaders…dare to silence the voices of the people.” “A United States Supreme Court, the highest court in our land, that took a constitutional right that had been recognized from the people of America.
“We have seen attacks on voting rights; attacks on fundamental rights to love and marry the people that you love; attacks on the ability of people to be themselves and be proud of who they are.
“And so, this is a moment that history will show required each of us, based on our collective love of our country, to stand up and fight for and protect our ideals…. [W]e have been called upon to be the next generation of the people who will help lead and fight in this movement for freedom and liberty based on our love of our country…. [W]e stand for our democracy. And we stand for foundational and fundamental principles that have everything to do with freedom, liberty, and equality for all people.”

I kind of want it to be quick but at the same time I want to see justice done and maybe just maybe the longer it goes the more likely people are to hear the actual facts. People should know that the “news” station is pushing known lies to get people to watch. I would say the same thing if it went the other way against another channel. I don’t think they should be able to use the word news if they are just entertainment like Tucker says because we know people believe him hook line and sinker. I know that there is a bias on all channels but to tell out right lies like this should be illegal.

Dominion requirements are steep!
Unknown if factual or not.. I heard some chatter or suggestions for an explanation and apology by each 'mouth' in their own time slot ... EVERY HOUR!! No idea for how long though..

Hang on more to come... Tacopina, the attorney representing Donald Trump in E. Jean Carroll's defamation lawsuit against the ex-president, is being accused of another attempt to try to obtain the identities of the jurors who will be selected to decide the case. On Monday, Tacopina sent a letter to U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan, asking for clarification on how the judge will oversee jury selection, and insisting he be "involved at all stages of the jury selection process." Tacopina's latest move appears to be attracting attention. "For better or worse, Joe Tacopina is the Chumbawumba of New York lawyers: He gets knocked down, and he gets up again," declared MSNBC legal analyst Lisa Rubin, apparently referring to this song. "He just filed a letter asking for clarification on the jury selection process in the Carroll trial--& insisting on his right to be in the rooms where it happens." www.rawstory.com/chumbawumba-of-new-york-lawyers-trumps-attorney-allegedly-again-trying-to-bypass-judges-anonymous-juror-ruling/

Who cares? HE cares!!! Former President Donald Trump complained on Tuesday after billionaire Elon Musk revealed that he had voted for President Joe Biden."I didn't vote for Trump," he explained. "I actually voted for Biden. I'm not saying I'm a huge fan of Biden, since that would be inaccurate." *** "I don't believe Elon Musk voted for Biden, not for a minute!" Trump exclaimed. This is an opinion piece, but fun!! The judge has already determined that FIX et al lied.. established fact... The perfect punishment for Fox NewsRobert Reich April 17, 2023, 7:36 PM ET *** Think of the poison Fox has knowingly been pumping into America as analogous to the poison cigarette manufacturers pumped into Americans’ lungs. Part of the remedy for the cigarette poison has been warning disclosures on every pack. Why not an analogous remedy for Fox News’s poison? If Dominion wins, the court should order Fox News hosts — Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, and all other hosts similarly implicated — to tell their viewers every half hour, at least until the end of 2024: “When we told you the 2020 election was stolen from Trump, we lied. Trump lied, too. He continues to lie. The 2020 election wasn’t stolen. Biden won fair and square.” As on cigarette packs that must vary their warnings, the court should require alternative disclosures, perhaps every other week: “We apologize for lying to you about the 2020 election. There was no fraud. Biden won. We lied because we were afraid of losing ad revenue if we told the truth. Shame on us.” And every third week: “The 2020 election wasn’t stolen from Trump. Trump made that up, and we repeated his lie because we’re greedy and unscrupulous. And that’s the truth.” What do you think? Should Fox News be required to issue any other disclosure messages? www.rawstory.com/fox-news-punishment/

Iowa joins Arkansas lessening restrictions on child labor laws.. One GOP members says the changes are to improve the laws protecting kids. He is not suggesting that they are forcing kids to get jobs and making them work?!?! Early Tuesday morning, the Iowa Legislature voted on SF 542, and the measure passed 32 to 17, with all Democrats voting against it as well as two Republicans, WHO-TV reported. The bill allows 14-year-olds to work six-hour night shifts, 15-year-olds to work on assembly lines moving items up to 50 pounds, and 16 and 17-year-olds to serve alcohol at restaurants with parental permission. Democrats slammed the bill saying it puts kids in danger by allowing them to work in risky jobs. "I wouldn’t want my granddaughter serving alcohol or getting an exception to do hazardous work in the name of workplace learning. A workplace accident can happen in the blink of an eye. It takes mere seconds for a red iron beam to fall. Iowans should not be putting our kids, and they are kids, in dangerous situations,” said Democratic state Sen. Janice Weiner. www.rawstory.com/iowa-republicans-pass/

They'll have to start working young to help pay to feed the younger ones. Blech.

So, so many questions.... So she can walk into treasury and study 2000 documents? If they are as she says, why is she spouting it out and not giving it all to the authorities? If everything has been reported to treasury, who reported it. The aliens? Did they steal the 'Jewish space lasors' for the search? Or have the supposed 'Biden crime family's report themselves. MTG has a record of releasing confidential information... MTG: "I just walked out of the Treasury after reviewing financial reports on the Biden’s and their web of LLC’s and wire transfers from MANY foreign countries that created a vast criminal enterprise bigger than anyone can comprehend. Whistleblowers can receive protection if they come forward now," Greene tweeted Monday. "Or what about the LLC called Owasco that Hunter owned and paid countless prostitutes, even from Russia and Ukraine, and the report states it was a human sex trafficking ring," the lawmaker continued. "The report estimates there were 28 customers paying the sex slaves. Americans go to jail everyday in this country for much less, some even for walking in the Capital for a few minutes on J6. It was and still is all much bigger and worse than people thought, but the most dangerous part is that the Biden’s have created a international crime enterprise around Joe Biden’s powerful VP and Presidential seats. Which means our entire country is compromised because of Joe Biden and the Biden family crime syndicate." www.rawstory.com/marjorie-taylor-greene-biden-2659874863/#cxrecs_s

This is a really important part of the story on younger generations & voter turnout. Voter turnout in swing states was even higher than the average. Conversely, turnout in deeply red, gerrymandered, Republican controlled states that passed voter suppression bills was lower. www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2023/04/18/tennessee-guns-youth-race/Y oung voters turned out where it mattered most in 2022, namely in swing states with competitive races. The Center for Information & Research on Civic Learning and Engagement at Tuft University’s post-2022 election study found that youth turnout in Colorado, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Oregon and Pennsylvania exceeded 32 percent. Atrocious turnout rates below 20 percent in states such as Alabama, Indiana, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Tennessee and West Virginia dragged down the national youth turnout rate.
The significance of the youth vote shouldn’t be underestimated. “If the elections had been decided by voters 45 and older, Republicans would have won the House by an even greater margin and likely taken the Senate,” polling analyst John Della Volpe wrote in the New York Times after the election. The implications for 2024 are eye-opening, according to Simon Rosenberg, a Democratic pollster who pre-bunked the 2022 red wave. “Projecting forward,” he writes on Substack, “keeping the 2020 vote constant, but now [adjusting] upward for the growth of [Gen Z and Millennial] generations into the electorate,” he found, these two segments could rise to 37 percent of all voters. The result would be a national margin for Democrats of 6 percent.
