I traded in my Spectrum Noir markers for Copics last fall, and so far I'm happy with that decision. I'm still a beginner and was hoping to take some online classes. I was waiting for Jenn Shurkus to offer her Copics 101 class but now that the information is out there for registration I'm just not willing to pay that much for one class.
So, I'm looking for suggestions for who teaches good online Copic classes. I'm willing to pay - just not willing to pay more for the class than I did for my markers! (Okay, that's a bit of an exaggeration, but you get the point!)
Thanks!

Not a class but lookup Kelly Taylor Cards on YouTube. She’s a colorist and her work with copics is amazing. I’ll never be at her level, or even close to it, but I have learned a few tricks.

I’ve only heard great things about classes from this shop: www.kitandclowder.com/They have a bundle on sale of 6 classes for $40aud… bargain for USA peas 😁 They have beginner to advanced levels, pencils to Copics and free classes so you can try before you buy. On a side note, I know mindy eggen (makes cards on YouTube and is on design teams etc) has done these classes to upskill her copic colouring.

I am getting the Kit & Clowder emails, so I think I watched a class done by them during the free Card Making Summit recently. It was very good.

Sandy Allnock. I took her Copic beginning class when I first got my Copics. She is amazing with Copics. If you click the link and scroll down to the near bottom there are some free charts. I use the "Human Rainbow" chart all the time when coloring people. I watched a lot of card designers. My favorites are (in no particular order) Yana Smakula (three color blends), Jenn Shurkus (a mostly two color blend) Kelly Taylor (a four color blend). These gals have their favorite combos listed on their blogs and that helped me a lot. I'm signed up for the Kit & Clowder emails. But I haven't taken any of their classes.

I wish I could find some coloring classes that use other markers, or just general colors. I try to match my cheapo markers to Copics (prismacolor) but it is challenging and Prismacolor doesn't really have any good tutorials. I know the cardmakers all use copics because they are the best, but if anyone has a suggestion for someone to watch that doesn't use just copics I am all ears. Thanks!

I love Yana and her YT videos. I also like to watch Christy Gets Crafty, Mindy Eggen Designs, Nina-Marie Trapani, and Nichol Sphor to get coloring ideas. The best thing I did was just take makers and color next to each other and practiced different techniques I watched. I learned what I like and don't like. I did this with simple cartoons I drew. Like a snowman and dog. Then I stamped and started the play. Again, I learned how I like to color. I ha e a running list of colors I have together with examples.
