March 2021 (thanks MichyM for sharing yours upthread). This is actually a bonus 25th card, but I forgot to take a photo until the double SheetLoad got mailed for the quarterly exchange.

So I found on my project cart the August 2020 printout and a pile of parts. Came back to this thread and realized that, yes, I had started that project and gotten frustrated. I managed to finish half a sheetload of the original project and another 3 4x6 cards riffing on the sketch. All will go to Cards for Cubs in March.

Rainy day on vacation so I thought Id upload some recently-ish cards. I wish I could recall which sheet load this is, but off the top of my head I’m thinking February 2023? Anyhow, working on more Cards for Cubs, so I made a slew of these:

I used up another sheet of Damask Love GRL PWR paper using the July 2020 Sheetload sketch. I found some Doodlebug papers that coordinated well enough to go down the side inside. This paper is bold enough that I think it looks better without extra embellishments or die cuts. I skipped the extra matting layers too. April share by jo.blackford, on Flickr

Meant to add that i also created a SLoC spreadsheet of month/year, # PP, size PP, #/amt colored card stock, # base card stock amt, card yield, and card size.
I am willing to share, but it’s in MacOS/Numbers, so I’m not sure exactly how to render it more generally accessible.

I feel like this is becoming a signature move for me: find a random paper in my stash with butterflies on it, find a SloC sketch (10/22 in this case) and coordinating papers to go with it, drag out my very favorite HA sentiment stamp from 2/23 MMH, and voila! Encouragement Cards for Cubs:

I shared these + other cards in the yearly thread, many that started with a Sheetload sketch. Highlighting this particular photo of cards because they use 2 old Sheetload sketches that I find really easy to use with cut aparts and/or 6x8" pads. March 2020 and April 2020. Neither is in my DB yet -- I'll take a look. Thanks! EtA: joblackford, I saw in the video where Al mentions using cutaparts or pocket cards for the April sketch. I'm guessing it's the March one you're recommending for 6x8. Without getting out graph paper, it looks like you could use 4 6x8 instead of 3 12x12 and generate fewer scraps. Or is there a way to actually get all the cuts out of 3 6x8 that I'm not seeing without the graph paper?

Or is there a way to actually get all the cuts out of 3 6x8 that I'm not seeing without the graph paper? I think the logic was to cut the 8" down into 4" 3" and 1" strips and then cut the 4 and 3 down to 4" wide (the 1" would remain at 6" wide). But I had a bunch of 3/4" strips left from something else to use as the diagonal narrow strip, so I think I did it a little differently. I used the front and back sides on each card. Actually I think you could also cut the 1x6" strip first and then cut the other piece down to 4" wide before splitting it into 4" and 3" pieces. That would leave a better sized scrap to use elsewhere. I hope I'm remembering/logicking that correctly.

And another, this time roughly based on Nov '20: This was another 6x6 PP sketch with a half-inch border all the way around, but there was over an inch of extra PP, so I decided to stretch the height. Only managed to assemble half of 'em "correctly"! I'd heard you could color embellishments with alcohol markers, but had never tried it. The flowers were leftover from a CS kit.

Lovely cards Shakti I'm not sure if I've done Oct 22 before. It doesn't look familiar, unless I altered it... quite possible!

Today's SLoC before breakfast, June '21: One more pair of patterns, four sheets, that might be worthwhile making into cards, and then it's done.

My summer Pea exchange cards. I swore I was going to remember which old SLOC sketches they were, but of course I didn't. I was very happy to find two different sketches with sentiment blocks of similar size.

linda ! I loved the fun-fold cards you shared from the Oct 2019 SLoC. I was also fascinated by Crafty Al saying the sketch was different from what she'd been doing in that the patterned papers were all cut identically and then mixed and matched on the cards. That is, of course, how every sheetload I'd seen before worked. But sure enough, the July 2019 cuts each of two 12x12s into the same part of the card. if that makes sense. My mind is blown! Thank you so much for sharing and I hope you're ok with me carrying the conversation over here.

Thank you so much for sharing and I hope you're ok with me carrying the conversation over here. Thanks Shakti - I finally organised all my various downloads and printouts and made a binder with my sheetload printouts so I've been having fun flipping through it finding sketches that would work for the images I wanted to use. joblackford - thanks for the heads-up!

My summer cards were (assuming I was actually able to retain the info through 3 doorways as I traveled from craft room to computer) March 2020 and special Feb 23 Card Makers Success Summit.
i have been looking into the older sheet loads and I'm totally fascinated. The YouTube series started June 2019; those first three were all cut each patterned paper a different way (so one pattern was all of the PP-1 pieces, another was all of the PP-2 pieces, etc). September 2019 was a back-to-school break. October 2019 was the first one that had one PP cutting guide that cut all the different sizes needed from each paper. So, what I think of as the way SLoC has always been was an innovation a few months in.
I've been sorting through my CS stuff and found some papers I intended to make into a random SLoC, but the July 19 one seems particularly perfect for my PPs!

July 2023 sketch with Paper Rose Christmas supplies: July share by jo.blackford, on Flickr July share by jo.blackford, on Flickr July share by jo.blackford, on Flickr I mixed up the sequence of a few of the strips to keep myself guessing, moved the sentiments around a bit, and the plaid backgrounds are not a sheetload, just a panel from a big 12x12 design.
