A place to share Sheetloads you've made with old/previous year's sketches without having to find the old thread... as requested by MichyM show us your random sheetloads!

Thanks joblackford. I think this is the easiest way to go as far as being able to reference back and find this thread. I donated a bunch to C4Cs a couple of weeks ago, but I'll see if I took any pictures before I did!

They're all fabulous MichyM I love your color and pattern choices. This is also a great reminder of some of the old sketches I haven't used like the one with the rounded corners. I don't think I ever tried that one but it looks wonderful with those papers. Thanks for sharing!

Wonderful cards MichyM as always. You have a very good eye for colors and layers.

These were loosely based on March 2020 - I didn't have wide enough pieces to angle across so it's not very much like the original, but I did start with the sketch April share, Sheetloads by jo.blackford, on Flickr ETA: I added more cards using these papers that MichyM shared with me to the March and April 2023 threads

Love those joblackford, and I enjoy seeing your take on using those papers! I need to make an effort to make (lets say a dozen) holiday cards for donation every month instead of totally getting overwhelmed with making a ton of them at once like I did last fall.

Love those joblackford , and I enjoy seeing your take on using those papers! I need to make an effort to make (lets say a dozen) holiday cards for donation every month instead of totally getting overwhelmed with making a ton of them at once like I did last fall. I've done it both ways! The binge making has a certain satisfaction, lol. But if I can make a Sheetload of holiday cards some/most months it takes a lot of pressure off and I can choose whether I want to make even more in the holiday season or work on something else entirely.

I found a cute Santa paper at Joann's when I was shopping for cardstock so I picked a matching-ish stripe and made an Aug 2020 Sheetload. I cut the stripe paper into narrow strips (2"x5.25" cut into 2 pieces) instead of wasting the part hidden behind the Santas so I got 12 cards out of 2 sheets of patterned paper. The original cutting guide only gives you 6 cards from 6 pieces of 6x6. There's also a challenge for stretching an element by hiding the cut behind something else so that's an extra bonus. Those holiday cards are adorable joblackford and I love your choice of striped paper to coordinate! Almost makes me want to hunt down a Joann's location near-ish to me that carries a decent supply of papercrafting items.

Thanks They're cute prints but I really dislike working with their thin (open stock) patterned paper. I always get sucked in!

2 sheets of open stock 12x12 paper, same Sheetload, no matting layer on this one though. I just attached the 3 pieces from behind with washi tape and then glued them down to my cards. These are for a no sentiment red white and blue postcard drive so they're super simple. Plus 2 scrap cards at the bottom. April share - 14 RWB by jo.blackford, on Flickr

Has anyone here done the membership thingy where you get access to her visual archive or whatever? If so, do you find it worthwhile?

There won't be a new one this month because Alicia's taking a month off for a bereavement but there's going to be a challenge here to pick a past month's sketch, I think. They're an easy way to get started making something with all that lovely patterned paper out there

by jo.blackford, on Flickr I thought these were very cute and I loved the idea of stretching the paper even further by using two smaller strips. The Q3 card is exchange is coming up and I got the print and solid Playful 6x8 paper pads from SB.C as one of their loss-leader/bonus buy thingies. I figured it would be perfect. But the colors in the solid pad do not match the colors in the prints AT ALL as far as I can tell. What kind of cruel hoax is this?! Has anyone else experienced something like this with their paper "sets"?

Has anyone else experienced something like this with their paper "sets"? Argh! That's so annoying! I bought some of their solid color paper pads when they first came out and was disappointed by the weight and the Christmas reds being far more brown than red. The Christmas colors was all very dull and drab and it soured me a bit on their paper products. I didn't use them as much as I expected either so I haven't bought more. I hope you'll be able to make it work somehow. I went looking for reviews on their site and most are just gushing, just a few mention colors not matching. Maybe leave a review to warn others.

I did this bc I wanted the extra sentiments she has for members.. I’m not sure what this sentiment perk is. I’m wondering about signing up. I’ve only been following them since late last year or so, so I’m not familiar with many of the sketches. I’m pretty sure I’m giving up on the ones with 3 patterns because I don’t think I’ve ever really gotten that to work. But I’d love to be able to look through and find sketches that fit a set of criteria.

Different fonts, sizes, etc. I printed some out on a laser printer and put them through my minc. Glorious! These are only available to members.

So, for the summer card exchange, I went a whole new direction with a different SLoC and LEMONS, so an homage to Crafty Al's mom which I feel really good about. I'm sure I'll find ways to use the SB.C papers, but I will add this to my "all my worst shopping mistakes involve SB.C file" melanieg , it sounds like you don't actually use the visual archive thingy, so I imagine you can't tell me how it works for you.

Shakti the archive is easy to maneuver. I have the ones I like printed so I don't use it much.

Right now, I’m searching for the sheetload threads and checking them out that way, which is time-consuming at best and a bit tedious.
But I also don’t have a google account, so I can’t really engage with YouTube.

So, I finally decided that if I can stand having a bare-bones FB account on an email address I don't use for anything IRL, I can probably stand to set up a corresponding Google account. I am now actually subscribed to SLoC. Haven't "joined" yet, but I feel better at least being able to subscribe.

I think I started conceiving this in June, but now it's July. I am working on a double sheet load using the March '21 sketch and a lemon theme, as Alicia requested to honor her mom. Hoping to finish this weekend, but won't share until next, as this is for the summer card exchange. I figure if I'm able to mail Monday, I can give a week for most to arrive.
Assuming I remember to at least take a photo. For the spring exchange, I was so eager to get them mailed, I forgot.

Sunova beech...luckily, I made 25 cards instead of just the double sheet load of two dozen.
Because just this very second I realized I did it again -- was so excited to send my happy mail that I finished them, wrote them out, and sealed them into their envelopes without taking photos.
I better go snap a pick of the spare before I find something to do with it and forget again....
