Nice guy.... How does he sleep at night? Real Pro-life, NOT!! Conservative podcaster Charlie Kirk doubled down on his belief that gun deaths are "worth it" because of the liberty firearms provide. After a mass shooting at a bank in Louisville, Kentucky on Monday, Kirk reacted by defending recent remarks that were highlighted by Media Matters. "I think it's worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights," the report quoted him as saying. On his Monday broadcast, Kirk complained that media reports of the event had not focused on his proposed solutions to reduce gun deaths. Those solutions included increasing gun ownership and fathers in the home. "Now you might say, oh Charlie, I don't want to live in that kind of militarized society," he opined. "I'm afraid we're already heading towards that, and I would rather have citizens have that ability where it's decentralized than just the government have that ability where it's centralized." The right-wing host claimed that liberals were trying to reduce gun deaths to zero, which he said was impossible. "Therefore, you have to be real," he argued. "And, of course, our hearts go out to the victims in Kentucky for every one of these situations. But we cannot allow them to emotionally hijack the narrative." "You must use reason when you look at these things," Kirk added. "A free society comes with a cost, and that cost is worth it. Liberty is worth it." The Monday shooting in Louisville resulted in at least four dead and eight injured. www.rawstory.com/charlie-kirk-louisville-shooting/

No one thinks that we will ever reduce gun deaths to zero in this country but it would be nice to see the numbers go down vs increasing.

so is charlie ready to sacrifice his loved ones on this evil altar? just sick Exactly. Just like sacrificing the elderly during Covid because they wouldn’t want people to have stay home.

I know this isn't the first horrible thing he's said, but I sure hope there's an afterlife for people like this to burn for eternity.

No, Charlie, we are not only “heading toward” a “militarized society”, you are CREATING it and this has been going on for a long time.
We are not safe, and our children are certainly not safe. We are dealing with sick people who do not give a rat’s ass about ANY OF US, including their constituents. They’re in bed with the NRA and that’s just the half of it. It’s larger scale and darker than just that, unfortunately.

After years of trying to get them to admit that they believe dead kids are acceptable collateral damage in their need to have a personal arsenal, Charlie's willing to say it out loud. At least he's honest.
Now if we can get them to admit that women's lives, health, and freedom don't matter in their pro-birth agenda ...
Time to wipe that "compassionate" modifier off the word conservative for good and all.

There's no freedom when parents fear sending their kids off to school and not knowing if that's the last time they'll see them.
There's just something desperately wrong with the way these guys are wired.

I wonder if he would feel different if it were his kids gunned down in school. Or were old enough to be in school - google tells me he has a one year old. Yeah come back when your kids have been through a few active shooter drills and say all is well with current situation.
