Wasn't sure what to title this. Feel free to mark political as I am on my phone.
I have always appreciated the Peas varying views on life and politics and was curious what thoughts are about the following. I am curious if I am missing something here.
There are 2 groups in my area. Lately I have been referring to them as The Zacs. You have your left walking Zac and Right walking Zac. These two Zacs, just like the story, love to road block any real movement for our community and schools.
They love to go at one another, always one upping or trying to shut down whatever it is the opposite side is doing.
This week it seems the left Zacs (these are the pro everything group) don't like that the right Zacs (anti everything) have a change dot org up to get signatures to recall a city council member.
So left Zach what people to flag the petition and file it under hate speech.
But the problem is there is no hate speech. The person who started the petition feels the city council member isn't doing their job and is just pushing radical left ideology and not really helping their community.
Do I agree with that? No. Is she pro LGBTQ+? Yes. Is she helping the community? I feel she is but that is my opinion. Do I feel she needs to be recalled? No. So I won't sign the petition.
Now I know the left zacs don't want this person to go and dont agree with the petition. That is fine, don't sign it.
But when did it become okay to try and shut down any and everything the opposite side does simply because you don't agree? And then lie to get it shut down?
Am I missing something here?
I am personally tired of this crap. I know others in the community are too. It seems everything has to be one way and only the left zacs are right. And the right zacs feel the left zacs are causing harm.
And if you don't agree with the left zacs they come at you. And if you don't agree with the right zacs they come at you.
Both love to call others out. And love to point fingers.
Is this what politics have become? A shit show?
Anyone else tired of these games?
