Are you a "theme scrapper," meaning a papercrafter who creates, shops, &/or organizes supplies by theme? TIA.

I am.
The majority of my product is organized and stored by theme. I have 30+ categories (night out, travel, food, birthdays, pets, music, etc....). Things that don't fit into a category, go in a binder that is filled with divided pockets. Anything (stickers, paper, die cuts, alphabets, embellishments, etc..) for that theme, goes in there (13 x 13 plastic envelopes).

I sometimes am. I buy travel themed supplies because I make a lot of travel pages, and I have a small stash of birthday and Christmas supplies. Mostly though, I'm a theme scrapper because I feel compelled to use the icons that inevitably come in embellishment packs when they match the photos. If those themed pieces weren't in the embellishments I'd happily find something else to use.

I always organise by theme, eg my stamps are in categories like alphabets, floral, animals ect. I do the same with patterned paper, and my cardstock is grouped in colour families. It's the only way I can find what I need quickly, and it satisfies my sense of order.

Yes-ish. Often my themes are are more generic. More like storing by style I guess? My paper tends to be sorted as a mix of some specific themes, but mostly by style. Stamps are sorted in a similar mixed fashion, with alphas broken out, then one major category being journal/project life type stamps, then a few other categories for the rest that are kind of vague. My dies and stencils are just... chaos. Loosely sorted by size. My stash is not huge though so it's not that big of a deal for me to flip through most of my stamps looking for what I want.

I probably am, but I'm trying to be less of one.
I will no longer buy birthday collections until they either stop being gendered, or one is made where the embellishments are more of a 'happy birthday to ME', and not 'happy birthday to you' because I would like to scrap my own birthday too. I have been using the birthday person's favorite color on their birthday layouts instead.
I'm also guilty of buying a theme because THEME! and then when I go to scrap with it, it doesn't actually work with my photos, and it's so themey it's hard to use for anything else...
But on the flipside, there are a lot of themes I wish existed, that I would buy in an instant, if I could find them... at the moment a tennis line that is not photo realisitic or over the top neon yellow tennis ball colors would hop right into my cart.
So, I guess I'm somewhere in between.

I selected "Yes Sometimes" but it should probably be "Yes Usually". I primarily scrap holidays (Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, etc.), birthdays, School activities, family reunions, weddings, and vacations. I very rarely do everyday snapshots or 'just because' pages. I have about 50% of my supplies stored by theme, but about 50% is non-themey - solids, florals and other patterns. Frequently I don't have supplies for a particular theme, so I improvise. The page I'm working on today is for a birthday. I'm using colors and theme to match the cake - a Barbie cake. None of the supplies are from a birthday line, some are beach-themed though - I guess it was Malibu Barbie on the cake.

Yes - I would say 90% of the time I am themed.
Awhile back I had subbed to the Not Just for Boys kits and I liked that those were mostly non-themed so that I was challenged a bit. It got me to use more "everyday" type photos instead of just event/travel pics.
I tend to organize most papers by theme as well - it's just what makes sense to me.
I've done lots of birthday pages but never used birthday paper. I tend to use paper that fits the "theme" of the birthday party instead (video games, 80's, sesame street, trains, etc).
I also like to use the themed titles from Paper Wizard when doing travel/beach/Disney pages.

I love a good theme. I usually have some sort of themed element on my pages - if the theme exists in the scrappy world. I have noticed my non-themed collections sit around in my stash for a while.

I marked yes, sometimes. But in reality the only time I theme scrapbook is for Halloween and Christmas. I do have fall/Halloween and winter/Christmas Iris containers.

I picked no. My giant stash of patterned paper from years (and years) ago is organized by color. There is a small folder of specific themed paper but it was mostly Christmas with a few papers of random things. And it’s only separate as it didn’t fit well in my other color categories. I just prefer color and pattern over themes- both as a scrapper in the past and now.

I selected "No, never". I do have themed products and christmas / Halloween each have their own storage solutions (everything else is by color or type of product). I do that more because I use those supplies to make cards. For scrapbooking theme/event/holidays I tend use anything and everything. My brain doesn't go to subject matter when I begin a layout, it starts with the colors. I also have a habit of not using "new" stuff and always trying to use up the old. So if I have a scrap that works with the colors, even if the theme doesn't match up I will still use it. I will say that I'm noticing I have a lot of random one-off embellishments that are event/activity specific that came in Pinkfresh collections. Stuff like museum, library, puzzles, wine, baking/cooking, etc. that I know won't ever get used unless I make an effort to pair them with themed photos. So I have started doing that. Maybe I should change my answer to "Yes, sometimes"...

I feel like my layouts fall under a theme usually. They are holiday, family, travel, outdoors, creatures, daily life etc. I guess you can make any photo fit into some theme. I really don't have a lot of paper that doesn't fall under some type of theme either. I am not a fan of most large pads of paper, so I use a lot of B sides when I need preferred colors and not themes. I am trying to think of photos that I have that don't fall under a theme.

I'm not sure I understand the question properly, so I might not have answered accurately.
Pretty much all of my scrapbooking purchases are kits. I buy based on whether I like the colours and the papers and elements in the kit. I rarely go looking for a specific themed kit to scrap birthday or Christmas pages, for example. If I'm scrapping those photos I just use whatever kits I already have.
I guess I do organise by theme. I will add tags to my some of my digital kits. The categories I use are: birthday, Christmas, summer/beach, winter, Easter, baby. So if I am doing a beach layout, I click on the summer/beach tag and all of the tagged kits are shown.

Im not much of a theme scrapper. I do organize my stamps, dies, and embellishments by categories—flowers, animals, phrases, etc. I don’t buy much themed paper though. I’ll just make a title and add some journaling and a few embellishments.

I am a sometimes-er. I sort by theme for three subjects. Military, Disney, and Christmas.

I make cards now but when I did scrapbook 11 or 12 years ago, I was definitely a theme scrapper

I'm probably 75% theme, 25% not.
Most of my stuff is sorted by theme. I have every line or kit in it's own bag and the bags are sorted by theme- all of the birthday ones together, Christmas, etc.
I recently did a couple teacher photo layouts from when I was much younger and I definitely didn't do those by theme. I was not about to put an apple on them. I hate the apple for teacher thing so much.

Thanks for your participation in the poll & responses. Like a few of you, I'm never a "theme scrapper." I don't scrap, shop, organize, or approach/view supplies/layouts in terms of themes.
