I ordered the peachy cheap deal for this weekend... It is a Paige Evans kit called Wonder.... Included is a 2x2 swatch book... with 72 sheets of 2x2 sized sheets.... not really sheets... lol I don't ususally keep scraps this small.... Soooo how do you use 2x2 scraps> Can't really use as a mat... maybe as a cluster background.. I am just thinking ahead... So I was wondering what do yall do...

Paige Evans creates all types of quilt look pages with those. She also uses them to back cut files. Here's a video youtu.be/6Zrcp9m8Z5Q

I would cut strips and make a cool mat for a photo.
Use them for 2x2 dies.
Stamp on them and make word strips for embellishments.
Add a hint of color to 1 or 2 corners of a photo to make it pop off the page.
Creat photo corners. Kind of like above but all 4 corners.
Make a star of various colors.
Use small punches like stars or hearts and embellish the page.
Cut tags from them.
Turn them into square tags I embellish for gifts.
Small journaling squares I tuck around photos.

Oh another idea:
Quilt on a card front. Smaller space so easier to tackle.

I think I once got a 2x2 (or maybe even smaller) pad in a tag-making kit.

anaterra quick drawing to show how I have done strips before: I had a white background and chose complementing colors, both solid and pattern, to build up a mat around a photo. The nice thing is the ones equal to the photo don't have to be long or fully be behind the photo.

I have used 2x2 squares all around the border of a two page spread, so for a rectangle 12x24 all four sides. That would use uses up 34 of them.

Last week YT kept trying to show me a page made with small scraps cut into little fishtail banners arranged into a big circular wreath. I'm guessing they used a punch for the banners.

There once was a "thing" called "Inchies". The idea being to make an ATC in a 1" square. I participated at one of our LSS's. This soon developed into "Twinchies". I haven't heard of either for a long time now.

Write little notes on them and leave them randomly in public places you go throughout the week.

I haven't seen this posted yet but I use the 2X2 page protectors all the time. I never fill them with photos. I like to put patterned paper in some, photos in some, and keep 1 or two "empty" save for a cool embellishment that lets you see through most of the square.
