So in February, March, and AprilI purchased 12 Copic Markers. Barely uses them. Of the 12, I have uses the pinks (RV 10, 11, and 20) the most. E30 comes next for skin. Then E 27, 37, and 57 for dogs and bears.
My grays - T1, 3, and 4 were used 4 times to outline or highlight on my Peek A Boo Bunny stamp. The only full coloring was the small tail.
Went to use them to color the bear stamp as Baloo from Tail Spin and dry. Completely dry. No juice. Nothing. Both tips.
WTH!
Is this normal?
No direct sun. It hasn't been hot. Kept flat in a alcohol markers storage bag.
My Ohuhu markers? Still on the same set I bought in October! I have had to replace 2 colors of the 48. Orange and gray. And I have done full coloring with most of the colors.
I chucked them into my trash can. Won't be buying Copics anymore.
Grrr!

Don't throw away Copics. They can be refilled. As for them being dry already, I have had a couple that dried fairly quickly, but that's not the norm. One thing is to make sure the caps on both ends are on tight. They do click on pretty hard. Otherwise, I don't have any other ideas. Sorry that you are unhappy. But, honestly, I would get them refilled. Or, you can probably even sell the markers for a couple dollars to someone.

Sorry you had issues with your Copics. I can assure you that is not normal. I have markers that are more than 6 years old and they still work. I've re-filled them but only after many uses. I bought my original set used and expected some to be duds, but only one pen was a dud. It had a crack in the cap.
Check for cracks in the cap (inside the cap too) or barrel. If any air can get in the alcohol will evaporate and render the marker useless. Or if the cap is not clicked into place or slightly askew they can dry out.
If those scenarios are not the case you should contact where ever you purchased them from, or contact Copic directly, and ask for replacements or a refund. It can't hurt to send an email.
Pull them out of the trash in case you need to send them back for hopefully a refund.

I have Copics that I have had for quite awhile, used extensively, and they still work fine. You may not have had the cap on tight. I know that if my grandkids are around, though, I have to lock my Copics away. Otherwise they will be out or dried out in no time. I buy refill inkers when I can for the colors that I use the most. They are getting harder to find. Anyone have a good source? Amazon no longer sells them.

Check the tube of the marker and the cap for cracks. Otherwise this isn't normal. Yes they should click when closing.
Dick Blick carries them too. It's been ages since I've purchased any as I've been using them since 08 or so.

I only had 1 bad copic of the hundreds that I own and it was Y17.. I refilled it and next time I went to use it, dry as dust.. Finally tossed it and replaced... Guessing that the barrel had a hairline crack or something..

My copics have lasted forever too. I haven't used them a ton but I have had most for at least 10 years and I maybe had a couple go dry. I think I did have a cracked one long ago and tossed that. I actually bought a colorless refill to refresh mine that dried out and worked fine, I never used them enough to buy specific color refills. What I liked best about copics is the nibs are the best quality of any markers I've used.
Makes me think the problem is where you bought them from and how old they were or how they were stored.
