I just can't get a clean cut, especially on cover plate dies. I've tried everything. New plates, shims, etc. What is my best and cheapest option for a die cutter? Thanks!

Do you have a second hand craft store in town? Ours has Big Shots there with the plates for $20 and up.

I love the footprint of my Cuttlebug so I am going to stick with it. I have seen a lot of them for sale on Mercari - prices are all over the place but since you have the A plate you can find one pretty cheap. You can get knock-off B and C plates for them on Ali Express.
