Do we have any pin collectors on the board?
I bought a doodlebug pin to put on my bag but I cannot get the back off! It's not a simple "butterfly" one. It looks like a push pin, or a top hat from the side, but the top of the "hat" appears to remove somehow. But it's a little crooked - like it has been screwed in off-thread - and it won't budge. I expected it to unscrew.
What am I missing? Help please!

I would contact Doodlebug. It sounds like the pin was faulty, which means Doodlebug should replace it.
I do collect Disney pins, but without photos, I can’t quite picture how to fix the problem you describe, or even know if it could be fixed.

Can you take a photo?
I also collect Disney pins and for my daughter's girl scout vest, I bought some backs that won't come off (unless you know the trick). It might be one of those.

This is a link to an Etsy listing where of those locking pin backs. The second image is a short video showing how they work. HTH!

rune2484Thank you! From the picture, I realized the releasing mechanism on mine was tipped/crooked - I gave it a "tap" with a light hammer and it popped back into position so I was able to open the pin. Works easily now. Yay! Thanks everyone!
