I totally understand the logistics issue, I just think The Stamp Market missed out on an opportunity to sell Create and Connect event bundles. She could have had a cardstock one and an inkpad one. Oh, yes, I see now. Not adding it to the box of event materials shipped from PinkFresh, but make it available on STM, at the right time to use the coupon code and have it arrive in time for homework. C&9th even sold exclusive patterned papers only to summer camp participants in a similar way (but not exactly the same, as it was after the event).

Ooohhh...I'm excited about the new ink colors. I have all the cubes now and have been migrating to the full size pads. I'll have to start chipping away at adding them to my collection.

They have found a way to address everything else, but everything else really came down to issues of logistics. Adding a paper pack would ADD logistical complexity. They may well think it's a good idea, but not be willing to commit to it at this point. Among other things, TSM may not yet be committed to participating again next year! If they don't have a partner who supplies card stock, all white seems inevitable, doesn't it? I totally understand the logistics issue, I just think The Stamp Market missed out on an opportunity to sell Create and Connect event bundles. She could have had a cardstock one and an inkpad one. If the cardstock was all bundled and really easy to buy people may have complained less, although someone's always going to complain about something. If you haven’t seen it yet, this image includes the 24 new colors, filling much needed holes in their spectrum IMHO. I cannot wait! Initially they were supposed to come out early this summer. Supposedly due out in about 10 days 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 I will be buying all of them in cube size (I have all the rest) and refills. I admit it, I’m a PF ink junkie. How about you? I prefer the regular ink pads, so all of the new colours will be going on my Christmas Wish List this year. It's going to be hard to wait 3 months to get them!! Please share how much you love them when you get them!Oh I totally prefer full size pads too. For sure! But cost and storage space are factors for me. I have maybe 20 or so full size that were given to me (various brands) and they’re heavenly to use when ink blending!

My box should arrive on Saturday and I'm praying that I don't have the one with the missing items. Oh boy! This is a very unlucky event so far, hopefully no technical issues on game day. I usually love Clarissa W cards ,but I really don't love hers this time. I'm going to change up the colors and definitely bringing in some gold or rose gold cs and heat embossing. I will be crossing everything for you! And I agree about the second class. If I wasn't getting together to do the classes with friends, I’d probably work on other cards will watching it. The color palette, the products themselves, and the card designs just leave me cold. I have no idea who she is, but I’d imagine I’ve seen cards of hers around and probably love them 😃

I have no idea who she is, but I’d imagine I’ve seen cards of hers around and probably love them 😃 I just went and looked at her cards for this event and totally agree, they're not my favourite, either. Carissa usually does awesome work so this is a bit disappointing - it looks like she phoned it in. Laura Bassen was like that last Spring - seemed very uninterested in teaching that time and her cards were super simple. I think it was last Spring, may have been an earlier event. It was the hummingbird class. Oh I totally prefer full size pads too. For sure! But cost and storage space are factors for me. I have maybe 20 or so full size that were given to me (various brands) and they’re heavenly to use when ink blending! Yeah, space is going to be an issue for me for these new inkpads, for sure. I'm going to have to do some shuffling around, maybe give away or sell off a few of my other pads that I never use anymore. For Christmas my Mother-in-Law asks us to give her a list of 5 items that we'd like, and she buys them for us. She doesn't set an amount, just 5 things, but we try to keep it reasonable. A bundle of inkpads is right up her alley, she's a long-time crafter, so I know she'll enjoy buying them and I'll enjoy receiving them! So, that's why I'm waiting and not buying the cubes now.

Are PF inks foam or felt pads? Maybe we chatted about this earlier? Sorry if I missed it.

I am through the homework for several classes but getting bogged down by the whole choosing colored card stock thing. I'm realizing that really means I have homework for 3 classes done. I don't plan to try to do Amy's class live, so I'm not precutting. Carissa and Jennifer's classes both call for colored cardstock, so....

I can't print the PDF in color, so I'm using a black and white copy while trying to read the instructions and do the "homework" whatever that is. I got the first three classes done for the diecutting and card bases, but nothing else. I think I'm going to wait until after the unboxing Monday night before I attempt to choose any colors and diecut/stamp those. I'm hoping this will be a simple "fix" and I'll feel confident going into the event next weekend, but right now, I'm not feeling it. I'm also feeling pressure to get started on the C&CD event, which has 16 classes and is the weekend after this event. I definitely won't sign up for both of these events at the same time again.

I feel for you. I've got Altenew two weeks after this one, but I'm going to Expo Saturday of the in-between weekend. And I'm hosting Cardtober Thursdays! It all seems like too much and especially too much Christmas...I want to play with my new Autumn toys, planning and making Q4 exchange cards!
On the plus side, I've got everything for my October birthdays all set and none in November!

I'm currently doing all of the die cutting for The Stamp Market class. It's slow going. It's a bit annoying because the instructions say things like "cut a variety of small leaves", or "4-5 flowers" or whatever. If I'm doing a class, I'd like specifics. Like, 4 small holly leaves in Leafy, and 5 large holly leaves in Forest - give me details. I think she leaves off the blue leaves, too. Anyway, I'm counting up the leaves on the card and cutting that amount, plus a few extra.
I have to print the booklet one page at a time because my printer can't handle more than that and I get an error message. I'm not printing the pages that are just a full graphic. I definitely prefer checking off my homework on paper rather than just trying to follow along on my computer. I'm so glad they're including the booklet in the next events, I'll gladly pay that $5 more.

Yeah, I like to check off homework, so having a class without a separate homework list is not ideal.

I am pulling up my big girl pants and dealing with colored card stock. And inks. Got through day one inks and then day two just about killed me. So, on to card stock.
SO, class one wants a blush pink frame, but not he solid inside. Class six wants two petal pink inside solid ornate pieces, save the frames for another use. Anybody else thinking pink is pink fergoshsakes?!

Found a sheet of Spellbinders pink card stock that was somewhere between blush and petal and just used it for the whole shebang! It was from a card kit of theirs I bought on clearance and hated, so there you go. Matched the other colors (for the 5 classes I intend to try to complete), though the closest I have to fern is one of my C&9th colors I'd prefer to hoard.
Trying to decide whether to just use my 1.5" circle punch for the sentiment inside the snowflake or break out the HA infinity circles. That and stamping the big ornaments is the only thing left on the official homework.

I came back from being out of town last week and my box had arrived - yay! But then I opened it & I am one of the ones who has class 1 & 5 missing…hopefully I will get those in the next few days. Those were the 2 classes I was most excited about as well. I know I’ll get them as I got an email from PF just crossing my fingers I get them before Saturday… Hoping to start my homework tomorrow!!

I didn't care for how that looked, so I'm skipping that for now. I'll figure out another sentiment option after I complete the card. It might just be the black I'm not a fan of...might try another ink color.
I've got all the homework but die cutting all the pieces from Amy's class. I'm picking up my printed booklet tomorrow and wanted to have that so I could checkoff the bits as I cut them.
But, I won't be doing the class next week, I have another crafty commitment. I'll be watching what you all accomplish though!

I love the make and takes, sometimes they're even better than the class cards. I missed the unboxing, I'll have to go back and watch. Any interesting announcements?

I am soooo ready to get inky this weekend. It's only Thursday and it's been a doozy of a week at work. My brain is in desperate need of a transition from spreadsheets to cards! I have not had a chance to watch the make-n-take videos. For class 1, I'm skipping the slimline card and doing a version of the red make-n-take card so I'm interested in that video. This is one set I'm hoping to get some non-holiday inspiration from when everyone starts posting their cards.

I find myself thinking about this question a lot, so if anybody has insight/experience, I'd love to hear it.
I haven't been impressed with the instructions from TSM for this event -- not particularly with the class instructions and definitely not with the homework instructions. But I have read repeatedly in various threads on these boards that Amy is a really great teacher. So, how do her classes at TSM go? Are they slower paced than C&CD or C&C events such that you can do all the cutting and stamping along? I can't fathom that she would provide better pre-instructions for her own classes than when she guest teaches at another event. I imagine that while I'm watching along Saturday, I'll understand, but right now, I'm mystified.

I imagine that while I'm watching along Saturday, I'll understand, but right now, I'm mystified. I've only take 2 "live" classes from her that were at previous Crop & Create Delivered events and I had no issues with anything she did. I also took a class from the stamp market website that was a pre-recorded class and I again had no issues with anything she did. My opinion is that she is not slow paced at all but I don't find that she's fast either. I also don't think her techniques are all that advanced. In my opinion she teaches as if her audience is the experienced crafter who can adapt quickly. That being said, I can already see that there are going to be a lot of people who will not be able to keep up with her on Saturday and are going to get frustrated. She clearly states "we'll create a simple jig to make the stamping go quicker". I can guarantee, there will be crafters who will be unable to do this correctly even watching her on the screen. To me, that isn't Amy's issue. That is the crafters issue but it will turn into an Amy issue with all the complaints. In the past, Amy has never used a stamp positioner tool, she uses a clear block and she is great at it. This is going to frustrate many people who will try to replicate what she does but will need to move their stamp in their MISTI. While they do that, she will be on to something else. I hope that makes sense.

I think so. Thank you. One clarifying question: was the homework more fully fleshed out for the C&CD classes? I've only done the one last spring, which she didn't participate in, but all the classes had complete lists of the homework steps and some even had videos!
As I mentioned upthread, I know I'll be too tired to craft along even if I had the homework done. I am a morning crafter and this will be 5 - 7 pm here. I really am looking forward to watching her class while I relax with an adult beverage and dinner from the crockpot!
