Okay, these are the box contents for the last Holiday cardmaking event:

We made 2 cards in each class and received instructions for a third card for each, to do on our own.

I got an email today saying they're going to open registration this Friday, instead of waiting til the end of the month. They didn't say what time, or how much.

My bestie & I are signed up! Looking forward to it. I really liked the holiday cards event last year. I also like the pace of this event and tend to get all the cards made including the make & takes during the weekend.

Honestly, I'd say Pink Fresh stencils are very similar to Altenew. There can be 4+ stencils in a stencil/stamp set combo. Glancing at a couple sets, it looks like there are a many, but they don't look quite as complicated. I also think, now that I look at them, that I might have a couple of their layering stencils that I haven't tried yet (because I keep signing up for other things). Maybe I'll have to break some out this weekend and see how they go. |

I just signed up. Thanks for the heads up MDscrapaholic I own a lot of Pinkfresh stencils and also a lot of altenew ones. I can confidently say that Pinkfresh Stencils are easiest to use compare to any other companies in the industry. Altenew requires a bit more advance level crafter to be able to use them well. |

I'm in. After participating in the February event, there is absolutely no hesitation on my part. That said, stenciling and ink blending are my favorite parts about card-making these days.

I like a nice simple background stencil. An ink-blended background definitely has its place. I have mixed feelings about a coloring stencil for a stamp set only because I like coloring more than the average crafter, I think. But no, ink blending is not my favorite.
And I think it's really hard to tell if they're really going to use absolutely all the things in the class projects, too. But putting in all the things makes all the kinds of crafters happy, right?

I did the February event and if I recall it correctly we used every single thing in the box. I choose to use the washi instead of the stamp/stencil combo for one class ,but the instructor used it. And their stencils are super easy. The Altenew ones just to complicated with the multi layers on 1 stencil. I'm planning to sign up but closer to the closing date. I'm a little bummed that there is no sentiment stamp set. I really loved the one the ppl got last year and it's not available for purchase. |
