Ok I have epic FOMO. Totally my own fault. I had this in my cart and then decided to book a cruise to Hawaii in September (and will be sailing over that weekend). Now, I wish I had gone through with it. I even had it in my cart last week when they reopened sign ups. Shaking my head at myself. I cant wait to see all of your gorgeous creations! Please share so I can live vicariously through you all

HAHA I bet they would happily take more money I might email them .... We were supposed to stop in Lahaina Maui, but it was changed. We now have an extra day in Kona. Our first port is Hilo and we end in Honolulu. I haven't been to the Big Island yet, so I am looking forward to it. Im going to Volcano National Park from Hilo. In Kona I am doing a History, Green Turtles and Kona Coffee tour.

Since this is my first PF/SM event, does anyone know if there's a lot of homework for this event? Boxes should be shipping soon!
Looks like the schedule and the supply list will be posted in the Facebook group on September 1st. I have absolutely NO PinkFresh inks and am hoping I can use what I already have on hand.

MDscrapaholic I don't believe there was any home work for the PF event I took earlier this year. However, I did do most of the die cutting and heat embossing before hand. The main die we got was a more intricate die with a million little holes that need to be punched out. I wanted to make sure I was able to get it to cut all the way thru and clean up all the pieces. I don't have any PF inks so I just used substitutes and it worked out fine.

There was some homework, but not much. Some diecutting and heat embossing. The classes are layed back and you only create 2 cards so if you don't do homework is okay too. I did all the homework for the first day and had enough time to create more cards while in class. I am a faster crafter so that maybe just me.
I got all the PF inks , I always wanted them so I splurged and got them with the coupon they provided. I used to use my Catherine Pooler minis but I felt that the blending brushed are too harsh on the foam pads.

Interesting...you prefer a felt pad for blending, azcrafty? I do. After using my CP minis I saw little damage on them, that could be because one of my friends doesn't have a light touch and maybe she pushed the brushes into it more than I do, but I thought that over time will have more damages from me too. The felt pads are more robust they stay juicier longer and I feel that I have more control over how much ink/color I pick up with my brushes too.. Thats my opinion anyway.

I've been pondering getting Memento dew drop sets for colored inks for techniques and stamping since I am so thrilled with my Tsukineko pigment inks and with Memento Tuxedo Black; they have a felt pad.

I’m not sure if this is good news or bad news but for almost everything I want from PF, one piece is out of stock.

Just a random FYI. Someone asked on the FB group if any of the new inks (that were supposed to come out this summer, then pushed back to September) would be part of the kit. They will not. Tears. Fingers crossed that if they actually are released net month, that we can at least use our class discount on them!
I cannot wait to see the contents of the kit.

So, the supply list, ink colors and homework list is posted on Facebook. They don't supply the colored cardstock listed? I don't have that or the white glitter cardstock listed for class 1. I'll have to see if some of my Bazzill will do. I'm also not sure what an embellishment tool is. I have not yet received shipping notice. Am waiting patiently. ETA: $6 for three sheets of glitter cardstock??! thestampmarket.com/collections/specialty-cardstock/products/diamond-glitter-cardstock The Stamp Market "After reviewing the supply list we also recommend that you have some glitter paper - silver or gold whichever you prefer. We use our Diamond Glitter Cardstock on all 3 cards along with our crystal confetti " our high shine sequins" Sorry those were missed on the list. Excited for you all to receive your kits. ❤"

I'm also not sure what an embellishment tool is. I think it's just one of those sticky picker-upper thingies.

I have a funny question...the colored card stock all specifies TSM brand, but the ink colors don't say. This seems very odd, since both brands market inks, but only TSM markets their own card stock as near as I can tell. So which brand of inks are these? Or is it a mix?

I have no idea, and don't want to take the time to search, because I have no PinkFresh or StampMarket inks/cardstock. I'm glad they gave us the shades, because I think I can find something comparable with what I've got on hand.

I’m undecided on whether or not to buy the cardstock. I really want to see the cards first to see exactly how much is used and how it is used. Since it’s going to be at least a week before I get the box, I just don’t think a cardstock order would get here in time.

Its very smooth and feels like you need to use less water to blend. I use it with my zig markers, it makes a difference for me. I'll send you some so you can try it. I bought them at Michael's years ago when they had good deals, buy 1 and get 2 free ..kinda deals.
