My box will arrive on Tuesday, I received my shipping notice a few days ago. I'm in Canada, it sounds like we're getting ours first. I have all of TSM cardstock and inks except for a few of their newer colours. I love their colour palette. Their cardstock is only 80lb, thinner than most - for sure thinner than Taylored Expressions, Hero Arts, Simon Says Stamp and SU cardstock. It is great for die cutting. I have their glitter paper and it looks just like the one from Walmart that was linked on here. This is the Bristol paper: www.michaels.com/product/strathmore-300-series-bristol-smooth-pad-10063422?michaelsStore=5184&inv=7Michaels sometimes has Buy 1 Get 1 Free for it, or else you can use a coupon. It's great for watercoloring with markers, like others have said. I wonder if you ladies will get the new ink holder cases that are coming out this fall? I hope you do, they look amazing! Coming out from PF or from TSM? A few months ago I did see a sneak peek of the PF pink one that holds mini ink pads - that one? It's really pretty.

So, I loves me a variety pack of colored card stock -- Michael's, Neenah, whatever. I figured I'd see if TSM offered one. They do. Of the 10 colors specified in the homework, it contains 3.
Now, I can probably substitute for most of them since I have so much random colored card stock, but they chosen all or even mostly colors in their starter pack, they would have made a sale!
EtA: It might be 4. The starter pack lists "tropic" not "tropic teal" but I think it's the same....

The site doesn't even say if they're 8 1/2x11 or 12x12. $4 for six sheets in all the colors is gonna add up. Someone just posted on Facebook - "I just got done reading the homework list and my head hurts. I think you should have offered us a chance to buy a package of all the colored cardstock we need. Other than the black and white I don't think I have any of the other colors? Now what?" I think I might just use what I have here. My Bazzill is not smooth cardstock, but some of the others I have are.

Yeah, I'm sure I have things that will work, but it's annoying.
I am going to guess that this hasn't been an issue when it was just a Pinkfresh event. Since they don't offer colored card stock, I imagine they relied on white stock and ink blending.

I thought it was a watercolor-type paper and was planning to use another watercolor paper. Is it not? Its very smooth and feels like you need to use less water to blend. I use it with my zig markers, it makes a difference for me. I'll send you some so you can try it. I bought them at Michael's years ago when they had good deals, buy 1 and get 2 free ..kinda deals. azcrafty Do you think Bristol is similar to Tim Holtz White Heavystock? I love this paper for Copic Marker coloring.

I can't open the pdf file on the FB page, why can't they just email it to us? Yes, azcrafty, did you see the Pinkfresh response to my question about glitter cardstock in the FB group?

My box is supposed to arrive on Thursday (I'm in the Seattle area).
I totally messed up on the dates for this event, and have company here the weekend of the event. They are card makers and are coming for a crafty weekend, but I'm not sure I'll get any of the classes done.
I did take advantage of the Pink Fresh coupon and added to my full pad ink collection. I had about half of the ones they planned on using already.
I also ended up getting the TSM cardstocks - in the 6 packs. I wanted the flower cart die too, although the coupon didn't work on that.

I got an email about them a month or so ago. They are an ivoryish zippered case that hold ink cubes. They are supposed to come out some time in September. I'm not signed up for the event, so it had nothing to do with that. But, having been in previous events of PF's, I know you get cool tools. So, I hope you all get the first ones!

EtA: It might be 4. The starter pack lists "tropic" not "tropic teal" but I think it's the same.... Yes, they're the same. At first a bunch of their colors had 2 words in the name but it seems like she just uses one word now, or at least some of the time she does. Not sure if she officially changed the names or what. Yeah, I can't see buying all the colors needed. The site doesn't even say if they're 8 1/2x11 or 12x12. $4 for six sheets in all the colors is gonna add up. The cardstock is 8 1/2 x 11. I think I might just use what I have here. My Bazzill is not smooth cardstock, but some of the others I have are. Her cardstock is not extremely smooth, I think you'll be fine. Do you think Bristol is similar to Tim Holtz White Heavystock? I love this paper for Copic Marker coloring. I have both and just went and compared them. The smoothness and thickness feels very similar. The Tim holtz is whiter than the Bristol, which is a plus in my opinion. I think it's a perfect substitute. They are an ivoryish zippered case that hold ink cubes I have the worst memory. I saw a Instagram Reel of the new case and cubes back in April or May and I could have sworn it was pink! I remember it was really pretty but I have the full sized pads so don't need it. I did see the same case on Instagram put out by a different company not at all related to crafts, but I can't remember what it was for. Maybe that's the pink one I saw.

So, the supply list, ink colors and homework list is posted on Facebook. They don't supply the colored cardstock listed? I don't have that or the white glitter cardstock listed for class 1. I'll have to see if some of my Bazzill will do. I'm also not sure what an embellishment tool is. I have not yet received shipping notice. Am waiting patiently. ETA: $6 for three sheets of glitter cardstock??! thestampmarket.com/collections/specialty-cardstock/products/diamond-glitter-cardstock The Stamp Market "After reviewing the supply list we also recommend that you have some glitter paper - silver or gold whichever you prefer. We use our Diamond Glitter Cardstock on all 3 cards along with our crystal confetti " our high shine sequins" Sorry those were missed on the list. Excited for you all to receive your kits. ❤" I was curious about their diamond glitter cardstock since I don't have any. I was going to buy that and their sampler cardstock, but no thanks, it was $12 shipping! I can pick up some glitter cardstock at Michaels. I'll just use my inks to make any other cardstock I don't have.😀

Yes, azcrafty, did you see the Pinkfresh response to my question about glitter cardstock in the FB group? I can't find the question or the response.... Shakti, sorry it was buried in the comments of the post with the event prep pdf. Pinkfresh replied that “we have included glitter cardstock sheets (white) in the kit. This is Pinkfresh Studio branded glitter cardstock.”

marg , I could be wrong. Maybe it was pink?? It could be either - I really do have a terrible memory for stuff like this, I can picture it in both colors. I wish I could remember what the other company was selling it for - so many tools and storage items are shared between industries.

I’ve learned not to stress about exact colors, etc. That said, I think PF and TSM could have saved themselves a lot of complaints if they had included the colored CS in the kits. I’ve only done C+CD and Summer Camp, but both of those include it. We used white CS in the winter PF event. There is one gal on FB who seems really peeved about the whole thing. 🤷🏼♀️

We used white CS in the winter PF event. I remember seeing cards posted from that event, so that's what I thought. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it The Stamp Market who stopped doing C&CD because they got such a bad response/bad feedback? I know that they do their own virtual classes with kits you can buy and have shipped, but maybe they're just really bad at these kind of virtual retreats?

I’ve noticed there are a lot of people signed up who are clearly new to these type of events. One person asked what the stamp market is? 😱 Another asked what an ornate frame die was. I’m pretty sure that was listed somewhere as being part of the kit contents.
I mean seriously, tell me you didn’t read any of the emails before signing up without telling me you didn’t read anything.

To be fair, when I sign up for a yoga class, it clearly tells me if it's for "all levels" or it's recommended to have prior experience....

Shakti , your memory is correct inasmuch that the stamp market was in C&CD once and didn’t come back. I was in the class live when ‘the incident’ happened but I can’t say why they didn’t come back to that event. Amy is a good instructor but she moves quick! It may have been that the sheer size of that event was too much for a smaller company to participate in. I’m not sure. PinkFresh also participated in C&CD and didn’t come back once they started their own events. I have yet to get a shipping notice from PinkFresh and my perception is that this event doesn’t seem as well organized as C&CD but this is my first PF event so I have to give the whole event a chance. Some of the PF correspondence isn’t very helpful (like how much colored cardstock, etc) and they don’t seem as patient as the mods at C& CD. I am always amazed that it seems like so many people don’t read the emails, it must be frustrating for the hosts. Of all the events I have done, the Concord & 9th and C &CD have been my favorites in terms of product/teachers/organization. 😃

I also have not received a shipping notice. They are not giving us much time to get ready for this event. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt, though. Been through enough C&CD events to know that I don't have to do everything live.
One thing I don't know - are the classes available to replay quickly, or do we have to wait several days? I seem to remember something from the spring event that you had to wait to access the recordings. Or was that the Altenew event? I can't remember.
Can you pause while watching the live?
