Yesterday trump was found liable for sexual assault. He has one more court case and being investigated by a special counsel and the GA DA.
Today George Santos was arrested.
Meanwhile Republican Members of the House are holding a press conference about the “Biden Crime Family” but it appears they got nothing.

The Republicans in Congress, especially the House, are so desperate to find something, anything they can pin on Hunter Biden and by doing so pin it on President Biden as well they really are looking ridiculous.

”A House Republican investigation led by Oversight Chair James Comer (R-KY) has been trying to link President Joe Biden and his family to accusations of essentially accepting bribes from foreign countries.
But Politico reports they have yet to deliver the goods — and are under pressure to do so, at the risk of their probe losing steam and legitimacy.”

“This comes as CNN reports that Comer has released a memo alleging members of Biden's family, including his son Hunter, received payments from foreign entities in Romania and China — but stops considerably short of finding any proof of criminal wrongdoing.
"The foreign payments raise questions about Hunter Biden’s business activities while his father was vice president, but the committee does not suggest any illegality about the payments from foreign sources. The bank records by themselves also do not indicate the purpose of the payments that were made," reported Annie Grayer, Alayna Treene, Jeremy Herb, and Sara Murray. "Comer has suggested that Biden may have been improperly influenced by the financial dealings, particularly by his family’s foreign business partners, but the latest report does not show any payments made directly to Joe Biden, either as vice president or after leaving office."
In response to the new findings put forward by GOP Oversight, White House assistant Ian Sams tweeted, "Seriously?This was debunked literally 4 years ago."

“House Republican leadership is continuing to stand by Santos following the 13-count indictment. Among the House's GOP leadership, there have been no calls today for Santos to resign.
Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy says that Santos, "like every American," will have his "day in court."
"He will go through his time in trial and let's find out how the outcome is," McCarthy said.
The speaker said that Santos "was never put on committee, so he won't serve on committee."
Asked if money laundering, wire fraud, and lying to Congress concerns him, McCarthy responded, "It always concerns me."
House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, during a press conference this morning, said that the charges were serious -- but did not call on Santos to resign.
"There's a presumption of innocence, but the charges are serious," Scalise said. "He'll have to go through the legal process."

You know what the big difference is between Democrats and Republicans?
I'm a Democrat and if they find Joe Biden guilty of something then hell yes I want him in jail. In fact I am an Illinois Democrat and a Chicago Democrat and we are pretty well known for throwing our Dem politicians into prison when they need it.

Please don't put all Republicans in the same basket and I'll try not to do that with Democrats. 20 years ago I would agree we you shouldn’t put all Republicans in the same basket. But that was then and this is now and somewhere along the way the Republicans lost all their credibility when it comes to governing. Actually they have lost their credibility period. They lie, they deliberately spread misinformation. They’re banning books. They are racist. They have no interest in governing so they are busy making it harder for certain people to vote so they can win elections. Thanks to trump they now understand to guarantee they win elections they have to have the ability to overturn elections they don’t like the outcome on a whim. This whole WOKE thing is them deciding they can discriminate against groups of people they don’t like. They are taking away people’s rights. Their only goal/ideology is to win and then do nothing except make things harder for people. They have decided everyone should have to live by their beliefs. They are playing dirty. I happen to think this country does better when we have two political parties that, you know, actually want to govern. Unfortunately we only have one and that’s the Democrats. The other political party is doing everything they can to stop the Democrats from governing. I guess the Republicans believe if we no longer want to govern we will do our best to stop the Democrats from governing as well. What amazes me is that folks like yourself can’t or won’t see what they are doing and condemn them for their actions. If the Democrats were only doing a quarter of what the Republicans are doing they would lose my vote until they got their act together. I’m on a rant because of the latest nasty thing the Republicans have done. Diane Feinstein is back in DC. Now there is no question she should have retired. I was hoping she would retire after Newsom won re-election last November. But she didn’t. So she gets sick I guess in February and has been in SF recovering until today. Diane Feinstein sits on Judiciary Committee and without a majority nothing is getting done like approving judges. So she asked Schumer to put someone on the committee until she gets back to DC. Will apparently the Republicans have to agree and they said no. John Cornyn was being very honest in saying she hopes Diane Feinstein feels better but they aren’t going to agree to a replacement while she is out because they don’t want President Biden’s agenda to advance. Meaning the appointing of judges. That shows a lack of integrity on the Republicans part. So Diane is back in DC in a wheelchair looking even older if that’s possible. Oh yeah, even if she was to retire tomorrow the Republicans wouldn’t agree to the Democrats replacing her on the committee which means no more judges appointed by President Biden this term. That is cheating or dirty tricks. Take your pick. I’m not thrilled when Republicans appoint judges but the deal use to be whoever occupies the White House gets to appoint judges and you don’t do shit like the Republicans are doing to stop that President from doing it. So right now every single politician that has (R) beside their name is in the same basket with Santos. And they belong there. |
