I found this interesting. The birds are counted at night.
You can change it to your location by the menu in the box "County"

Oh, interesting! I love watching birds come to my feeders. One of the first things I did when moving into my new house was put up bird feeding stations. I have seed feeding houses front and back, and I recently added suet holders, both in the front and backyard. The suet is extremely popular with the starlings! I did have to remove the big seed feeder from the front porch because the wind moving it kept making my security camera think there was a person on the porch. I have several big sturdy Shepard’s hooks in the pods waiting to be unloaded and will just hang the seed house in another area of the front yard away from the cameras. I also put up a hummingbird feeder since I was told that some remain in this area all year long. I did have a couple of hummingbirds, but then they stopped coming. I hope they start back up with the warmer weather. I also put up a Niger sock since I had so many birds eating from them in California. I did buy it in a local hardware store here, thinking if they sold it in this area, there must be the type that eats from one here. It has been up for over a month and I haven’t seen a single bird on it yet. In California, you couldn’t see the net bag because it was so covered in little birds! I’m hoping that changes with the warm weather too. At least I only bought one of those so if no bird eats from it, it isn’t a huge waste. And librarylady, I adore your interesting finds! Please don’t ever stop sharing them!

Neat!
I have a big crop of Baltimore Orioles this year. I sit and watch them at the feeder. The hummingbirds are here in full force too, along with goldfinches. I have seen scarlet tanagers, indigo bunting, lots of various woodpeckers. Killdeer are always interesting. They feign injury to keep/draw you away from the ground nest.
I miss the Meadowlarks. I haven't had any for a couple years now. Their song was always my favorite and reminded me of my childhood.
The pooping invasive doves could go. And the swallows have to find a different place than my porch to nest! There are plenty of places here on my farm - so I put rocks or other barriers up in the corners and ledges on my porch to keep them away. Too messy!
