We bought a new couples trailer this year and plan on taking it out quite a bit. We also spend a lot of time in our yard in the summer. I tend to have the most free time in warmer months but hate to miss the nice weather scrapping inside. Any tips or tricks for those who scrap on the go? Must haves? Are premade kits the best way to go? Sometimes I feel that is limiting. Meaning it was a great idea when I put it together but now I would change some choices.
I am clearly overthinking this...lol.

For scrapbooking in the yard, I would have all my products in rolling carts so they could be easily brought outside, then back inside. I'm no help, for "on the road" scrapbooking, because I would need a second RV or 5th wheel...... to hold all the scrapbooking stuff I'd want to bring.

We downsized our trailer since the kids decided camping was gross. I can bring no more than a small tote. That is if I bring my keurig, instapot, and other "necessities", lol.

If I were in your place, I would get a small bag and put my adhesive, scissors, tiny stapler, ruler and pen in it and always have that ready to go.
I sometimes work of Project Life on the road and I grab 1-2 SC PL kits that go with the months I am using and grab the photos and stick them all in a bag together. I will throw in a couple packages of enamel dots that match + any specific embellishments I may want to use and maybe a 6x6 pad or two. Thats it.

I’d make up page kits for on the go. Preprint photos, even include a sketch, with all the papers and embellishments. Anything you forget or want to add could be added on later. And then just take a basic tool tote with your most often used things. Or bring stuff to make a set of cards (stamps, inks, bases, etc)

For the RV, I would make page kits. Have the photos printed and choose papers, embellishments, bring a pen you write with, letter stickers. Then store in those extra large ziplock bags our paper comes in when shipped to us or another storage bag.
Have a snap kid box with scissors, your tapes, glues just for the RV.
That way you can grab and go and have what you need.

and include a pack of post-it notes so when you decide that a layout needs x and you don't have x with you - you can add a note and remember about it when you get home

I am clearly overthinking this...lol. I don't understand this "overthinking." Ha! It's the only way to go, for me. We have a travel ideas thread and there are some good tips in there too! I have a small campervan and I have a travel scrapbook kit. Everything fits into a reusable tupperware bin (or whatever brand, ziploc?) It fits perfectly into this small cabinet that we have. I have a couple of other bins in the same space. One has bungees and velcro straps and random things we often need. The other has mosquito head covers and other random things we don't need very often either but we want them on hand if we do.
